Bitching? Who was bitching? I don't think explaining to someone that their experiment is no different than what a normal botter does day in and day out and that nothing can be proven by said "experiment" is bitching in the least bit.

You see, people propose silly "experiments" on these forums all the time, thinking that they'll come to some definitive answer to how blizz handles bans. As I said in my previous post, there's absolutely no way anyone here will able to be able to prove anything, other than the actions blizz takes is random at best.

Doesn't matter what you think dude...if other people are interested in the thread then that's what matters...if you don't like my thread don't post in it...if you're just gonna be negative then I see no reason for you to post on my thread...use your time trying to be productive...good day to you!

Just got perma banned - LOL

I was Questing only with a bit of grinding in the old world, with only 1 or 2 players around if I ever saw one.

I'm not sure whether I was seen or reported but can't be bothered to properly investigate it. Tripwire didn't get tripped for me - I don't know about other people. So far the pattern is, new patch, I got banned - coincidence? Maybe yes, maybe no.

I think I'll sit on the sideline for a while and see how the botting scene pan out in the next couple of months.

You understand what an experiment is, right? It's a scientific procedure used to discover, or to prove a point...The only thing you can discover is that if you bot, you'll get banned. So what point are you trying to prove? What's the science behind your experiment? Do you believe that a sample size of 2 is big enough to prove your point?

Go ahead and claim what I'm posting is negative. The sad thing is is people will see that you got banned and actually believe that you've proven something, which you haven't come close to doing.

If people want evidence that botting leads to bans, just go read the bans section. You'll see lots of people that ran this same "experiment".

Don't ever presume you can tell someone to not post in your threads on any forum. Having ideas shot down is a part of life. Not everyone's going to share the same opinions or views on matters as you, and if you don't like other people's views on things you care about, posting on a public forum is definitely not the best place to share your opinions and views.

This isn't an experiment by any means. What you are doing is exactly what the average botter is doing. Additionally, even if you get banned on 2 accounts, you've gathered nowhere remotely close to sufficient data to claim anything conclusively.

These posts pop up all the time. People think that they're going to be able to prove something when they're doing "experiments" with 1-3 accounts. You simply can't get any actual data on such a small sample size.

It's sad that this has to be repeated over and over and over, but here we go again...

Blizzard is not static in their ways. What they do one month may change drastically the next. Blizzard gives their GM's authority to take whatever action they see fit, meaning that a GM having a bad day may permanently ban all your accounts on a first offense and some other GM that got laid last night may just give you a 3-day suspension. You can't prove anything in a system like that other than the system is random at best.

In my experience (20~ suicide botting accounts) they don't ban until you renew the sub, they drop is pretty much right after.

And just because you have an opinion on the matter doesn't mean that anyone cares what you think...like I said doesn't matter as long as it interests a few people...I'm confirming what I suspect...blizz won't ban the account until I try to renew...and that is helpful for some that want to know if they start a new account if they will get banned right away. They haven't with mine but I'm not going overboard with it either

Are you expecting a ban? Tripwire is correctly working, therefore there shouldn't be one unless you did something outside of botting to get banned.

My sisters friends cousins neighbors nephew said that he ran a bot for 12 years straight suicide botting Botanica 24/7 and was never banned; therefore we can conclude you can NOT be banned by using a bot program!

Honestly is most likely a fluke, although it probably doesn't seem that way, if you think you're just getting a suspension then then buying the token but not using it is the way to go. If you think it's going to be a permanent ban then use the money and do a charge back since you won't be able to use the account anyways.

I got lucky on the tripwire event...I wasn't online...I'm surprised this account has lasted this long.

It's funny... every time I get caught and start a new account I say I'm only gonna use the bot for a few things then as time goes on I use it for more and more and now I use it for just about everything.

I've not used it for pvp except for ashran and that was just running combat bot.
