AMD 8350 vs i7 3770k in botting

would like to know which is better.

Well, if you do your research... Intel usually almost always wins in the performance and reliability categories. I have just once used AMD, the chip broke in under 2 years... I never used them ever again. That was 13 years ago. I have used Intel ever since, even overclocked to extremes and still it works even after a beating. I still have my old P1 and P2 in my closet for nostalgia.

13 years ago, on Minitel? :3

AMD Still good, but for botting I would take Intel, Hyperthreading helps a lot ;)

It honestly is up to what kind of budget you have. If you are willing to drop $300 on a CPU and another $180+ on a decent motherboard than go Intel. If you want to shave $150 than go amd.

I happen to have my bots running on two CPUs, AMD 8350K can handle 8 bots, i7 2600K can run 11~12, not to mention 3770K
PS: overclocked 8350 to 4.5 GHz,and 2600K to 4.0 GHz

I almost built an 8350 system but in all reality you only really save about $100-120 at the cost of damn near double power usage/heat and just a generally lesser quality cpu/mb.

If you build 2 exact systems 1 8350 and 1 3770k you will see the only thing that changes is the mb/cpu. In my case the $100 difference wasnt worth the sacrifice when dropping $600-800 on a whole rig. I'm also pretty sure the power savings alone will pay the difference if you bot at max capacity for a decent amount of time.

That has been my decision process on the matter. The only way i'd go with 8350 is if it performed better than an i7 3770k in running multiple clients. It doesnt make sense to me to use it even if its the same or close.

There was a guy on here who had tested both for botting and the AMD actually came out on top. Can't find the previous post, sorry.

Sure AMD is better for multi tasking and intel for pure high end gaming.

If you want the best performance you can get, you have to go with intel. If you dont want or need the absolute limit or if you want to save few bucks, go with amd.
