Amazon Keys

I bought 2 hard copies of Diablo 3 off Amazon and I received them today and they were opened boxes ( didn't really care as long as I got working game keys, but I had a feeling something was fishy). When I opened the first box the key was no where to be found but I found a sticky residue that looks like a sticker was peeled off. I went on to check the second box and to my surprise there was a game key, was there but printed on an avery label so I tried the key and BOOOM it was a starter edition key so I sent a support ticket to Blizzard and they said the key was already used last summer =(. The sellers name was Amazin' Gifts.

I'm not ranting or anything I just wanted to let you guys know my experience so you don't into the same situation. Where do you all get your keys from? I'm tempted to use a third party site to buy a key to see how that works out. What site do you guys get your US keys from?

Best Buy.
 
With Amazon its easy. Write a ticket, print this send-back-paper (dunno the name^^) and send both boxes back. You will get your money back and the seller gets a warning or will be kicked out of the store. But do it as fast as you can.
 
I NEVER buy copies from anyplace except a large store chain for this reason. Sales always come and go. You just gotta be on the ball and when bestbuy has a 1 day sale at $29.99 go and buy a bunch of keys.
 
For some reason i think you bought used copies lol.

Yeh I think you did that, people sell the box and everything in it on amazon and they specify the key isn't invluded

I already asked for a refund and I can't play it because theres no key and no offline mode. If amazon doesn't refund it PayPal or my mc will so I'm not too worried about it.

So don't buy keys from anything other than large chains like best buy or future shop?

Amazon is a large chain, you just have to make sure you are buying it from them and not from a seller since people can list their stuff on amazon.
 
I have seen them sell the game on amazon before and in the caption it says cd key not provided. So you are paying 30 bux for a disk lmao.

Yah I must have missed that part, stupid me. But they just offered me a full refund so I'll be okay.


Next time I know not to be so stupid =(.

There's New and Used sections and tabs. Not difficult.

There's a spot for comments on used items as well.

even stores like gamestop can screw you since someone can still get to those keys before you do. with gamestop they know enough about keys not to let you exchange or call it defective.

walmart and other stores a bit easier since they dont know anything anyway.
 
all my box copies are from amazon themselves, i also have a few physical keys scanned from wow gold traders.
as for amazon - never had a problem although i have had a box arrive that was 're sealed' (two of those clear stickers on the edge of the box) but the key worked fine.
