Am I too stupid for Gatherbuddy?

Hey,

yesterday I tried to push my mining skill from 1 to 525. I started Honorbuddy and selected Gatherbuddy from options menu, downloaded a mining profile and selected my class config.

Bot says: this profile does not contain any profiles fitting the character. Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I currently run the latest version of Honorbuddy - any advice?
 
Not to be really stupid with my question but did you learn your mining skill as a profession and do you have the mining pick? And did you have mine ores selected in your advanced settings window? Just checking :D
 
Yes, I have - but the bot doesn't even start, if I click start, he starts for 0,1 sec and then it turns off automatically.
 
Sounds like the profile you are using isn't written for your character level. If you're level 85, the profile you're using was probably written back when level 80 was the maximum, so the code will have 'Max Level 81' in it somewhere. If this is the case, try downloading a newer profile, or if you are confident you can alter your current profile by opening it in Note Pad and changing the max level line to 86.

Did you select the right profile? Meaning did you select the low level mining profile first? Otherwise you maybe should use profession buddy. It not only mines but buys the pick if you did not have one and trains your skill level in between.. And did you download an additional CC? Like FPSware for [insert class here] I know my mage just gave me the finger and laughed in my face until I downloaded Amplify as a CC. Then the lazy bum started to work.
 
I changed the max level of the profile now to 86. now the first error is gone, but the object whateverstuff still exists. And yes I selected a 1-75 durotar mining profile, I use FPSware as cc.
 
Problems I've encountered with GB2: Fpsware CC's are not good for gathering, singular works flawlessly (dk, druid, war).

But with mage Singular causes some problems, so using Amplify.

Be sure to have your character in the currect zone before starting bot.

Also, if it's not working, try getting a new profile for mining 1-75
 
Logs, screenshots, whatever you can provide will help identify the problem better.
 
You are trying to use a Gb profile on Gb2,thats your problem

Your problem is probably that, for some strange reason, fpsware mage expects your profile to be in your main honorbuddy folder. It retrieves some info using profile location as root when it looks: \CustomClasses\Fpsware Mage\Class Specific\Settings

Or something like that.
