Alternative solution for teamviewer?

Hi DBuddy,

I would recommend using Mikogo as a great alternative to Teamviewer, especially if you are worried about the speed of it. Mikogo allows you to adjust the picture quality, which translates into the speed of your online meeting/webinar. For instance, if you want a really fast connection you can go to the lowers picture quality, which really just turns the presenter's screen into black and white, so it's not like the image gets blurry or pixelated or anything. Alternatively, some of our web designer clients, for instance, prefer to max out the picture quality so they can present their work to clients in full picture quality.

It is available for free download at https://www.mikogo.com/account/en/register.php - feel free to get in touch.

Thanks!

Mikogo is what you're looking for

someone posted a solution for a free remote control, but i am afraid i can't find it anymore.... :)

would be nice to find something with a bit more frames , teamviewer is sometimes really really slow, like 1 fps...

what do u use?

greets

Mikogo is really the best solution for this. It supports all platforms and mobile devices, and you can adjust the picture quality which, in turn, changes the speed. You can even drop the picture quality to black and white, which makes it super fast. Check us out at Mikogo: Remote Desktop, Web Conferencing & Online Meetings, and let me know if you've got any questions.

Yeah, I used to be a TeamViewer man myself, but I've given up on the free stuff (because you get what you pay for). Now I use RHUB's appliance, which has everything bundled into one device. Works like a charm for me.

I used Mikogo for my very small business as some people don't like installing software, worked fine although it's more for business unless they've got unattended support... since I want to access my PC from anywhere without having to keep entering a unique password or code, just 1 password to rule them all.

Mikogo is like the underrated company when comparing with Teamviewer, although If I had to pay it would be with LogMeIn mostly due to the smartphone support.

EDIT1: Seems they have mobile support, I'd probably go between LogMeIn and Mikogo..

chrome remote desktop..
I have used logmein, joinme and even radmin... but chrome remote desktop is the best thus far for me. everything is "real time" and no choppy/lag or other crap making it slow. it's actually to the point that I start movies on my box at home and use chrome remote desktop to watch them at the office. that smooooooth.

GoSupportNow also has an iPhone app and soon an Android app (look for "TurboMeeting" in the app store) that lets you remotely control a PC or Mac. Note that GoSupportNow does have a monthly fee.
