I've often wondered about this? Can Warden scan for simple AHK/AutoIt scripts that use PixelGetColor and such?

I guess this has been asked before, didn't find anything through Search though.

Thanks in Advance,

I very much doubt it..

In saying that there is very little those tools can do, certainly not to the point they need to worry about it..

I use to fish like that back in the day..

But similar bots got ban hammered in the Diablo 3 banwaves, just like the the others, so they are not "undetected" by behaviors.

Blizzard has spoken specifically about Autoit before.

They know people use it and don't like it, but there's nothing for Warden to detect as it's not injecting/editing info in the memory.

This was many years ago, in the classic/BC days.

I think they were banned due to excessive botting. Some just copied in the script without knowing anything about AutoIt and ran it 24/7. I know for sure that they didn't ban based on users who had AHK running (or similar) because I wrote my own AHK botting scripts for D3 back then and I never got banned. I guess because I never used them 24/7.

That's what I thought. Warden just scans the WoW memory for irregularities etc., doesn't it? Then again, HB staff stated that Blizzard might have used some sort of malware to detect HB. But theoretically, even if they did scan outside of WoW for running processes: Finding something like AHK running is no proof for botting at all. There are many other uses for AHK other than botting. And I mean real uses. Not just "we need functionality other than botting so we're not an illegal software" uses.

I'm just running AHK to auto-accept dungeon finder invites, follow a group member and write "brb" in chat. I have that thing running whenever I take a shit while I'm in queue. It's very frustrating to have the queue pop as DPS while you're afk for 2 minutes so I just wrote a quick script that auto-accepts the invite when I'm away. Since I'm not doing any major botting that is (sort of) worth getting banned for I wanted to check if there's an actual easy method for Blizzard to detect what I'm doing (detect AHK-issued clicks doing stuff in WoW) and ban me for it.
