hello guys, after this bunch of accounts banned I was fearing to continue using the DB, so I created this topic to know how many are still using the DB and what plugins do you use most and how many hours per day of bot?

24/7 AGB plugin on Sark. If they catch you, they catch you. No point in doing "just 10 hours a day, so i look human", people have reported bans doing just that. No point in not running sark, people have been banned for ZK and core. No point in not using AGB, the reason you see so many bans of people using AGB is because it has the highest GPH and a majority of DB users are running it. There's no reason to stop using DB unless you bot on your main (dumb, imo) and are attached to that account.

Thank you for this. I was saying the exact same thing in another thread and I completely and utterly agree. How could they target AGB users if it is contained within the Demonbuddy program? The only difference is that is a zero config environment (i.e. it does not take manual input). Association does not prove causation my friends. ;)

I have to say that I use AGB; because DemonBuddy (normal profile) will still get stuck (under heavy load) trying to interact with portals, npcs, etc while AGB oddly does not.

For the record, I shift bot, meaning I have many accounts but I only bot n accounts at a time and then they are cycled.

Yes, I take a loss due to running my bots in cycles on a somewhat fixed schedule.
Yes, no matter what anyone botting 24/7 says, this is safer than botting 24/7.
Yes, risk is part of making larger profit, that is personal choice.
No, I don't care what anyone botting 24/7 says/thinks or how much $$$ they are making, we all have our own goals.

If safety and risk reduction is one of your goals don't bot 24/7; if not rub your lucky rabbit's foot and carry on.

Flaw, there are some people who got banned just for botting 5-10 hours O.o,

That isn't what I'm doing.

Flaw: the ratio of bans of 24/7 to non 24/7 is at least 10 to 1 if not higher.

luck - Luck or fortunity is good fortune which occurs beyond one's control, without regard to one's will, intention, or desired result. There are at least two senses people usually mean when they use the term, the prescriptive sense and the descriptive sense. In the prescriptive sense, luck is the supernatural and deterministic concept that there are forces (e.g. gods or spirits) which prescribe that certain events occur very much the way the laws of physics will prescribe that certain events occur. It is the prescriptive sense that people mean when they state that they "do not believe in luck". In the descriptive sense, luck is merely a name we give to events after they occur which we find to be fortuitous and perhaps improbable.

asking for it - The final frontier of denial, "asking for it" is a mentality people use to justify the world being less horrible than it is. Most commonly it is used to pretend that a rape victim 'subliminally' or 'subtly' gave consent, but it can also be used in context to say someone who leaves a quarter on the ground is just as guilty as the thief who steals it of the crime, having 'tempted' the criminal or perpetrator. In extremist cases, such as a few sects of Muslim religion, some women are forced to cover their hair to prevent 'tempting' men.

idiot - An idiot, dolt, or dullard is a mentally deficient person, or someone who acts in a self-defeating or significantly counterproductive way. Archaically the word mome has also been used. The similar terms moron, imbecile, and cretin have all gained specialized meanings in modern times. An idiot is said to be idiotic, and to suffer from idiocy. A dunce is an idiot who is specifically incapable of learning. An idiot differs from a fool (who is unwise) and an ignoramus (who is uneducated/an ignorant), neither of which refers to someone with low intelligence.

Where are you pulling this from?

Myself and most of my friends bot... probably 15-20 of us all together, most with DB, some with Auto-IT. I only have 2 friends banned, both of them bot in shifts..... 12 of us go 24x7 and still go 24x7 without bans. As Hawker put in his post, the #1 cause is luck. Nothing else.

I can only base it on the ban reports I have seen and my 10 years of bottling xp and knowledge of computer science, logging systems, databaseses, statistics, the law and in general how people think. but I obviously know nothing and no offense to Hawker but he can not say a lot or attempt to give answers; as he would be held liable by users if he " mislead" them somehow

anyway not interested in the Internet argument; I have never had ban unless I was bottling 24/7 in 10 years of botting writing bad auto it scripts and being famous for creating scripts and profiles on other closed forums

some of you guys have the impression I am just a dumb troll; that is exactly what I want you to think no sweat off my back. ignore everyone who advises against running 24/7 hawker and other mods included.

I totally agree with you.

First off... I also did Comp Sci in Uni.. and now do Cisco networking... but I don't see how that relates at all to this specific instance.

Furthermore, I have botted in WoW since early Glider days and still have my original account in good standing, so I don't see how your length of time botting in other games relates again.

I am asking you, how you came up with the 100% random figure of '10 to 1' for it being more likely of a ban. If you read ban reports here, ban reports on Diablo 3 main forums, most people (if they can be believed) seem to have botted in shifts and got banned. There are many many people going 24x7 strong. I am simply saying you pulled a number out of your ass and it's ridiculous. Sure, there most likely is a higher risk to going 24x7, but saying it's 10 to 1 out of nowhere is just asinine.

*sigh* calling me on what is most likely an accurate estimate is asinine. Cheers.

EPEN1S war in full force

It's all random, explain it to the guy that bought 6 new keys and botted just 4-5 hours to lvl 20, then got banned on all 6 O.o
