afkbots Another Bot Company Hit By Blizzard Banwave

the mimic people never could code their way out of the paper bag that IS warden. sucks for their customers, but maybe people will get the point that sometimes you need to invest a bit more to get experience, quality, and safety.

before there was honorbuddy after glider fell from grace. i tried using wow mimic as well, and it was complete garbage. and since they had so many dam resellers, there was no community and no support for it. you where all on your own.

I was permabanned after using mimic for 2 hours on wow got the ban day after I had used there trial. Was my first time botting lesson learned that's why I'm with buddyteam and don't regret it

How does Blizz's security work anyway? People wearing their tinfoil hats are paranoid that Blizz is monitoring their every move. But I'm curious how does one's account get flagged? Even if you are running the same profile over and over there are also many who are doing the same. You are just one out of many (legit and non-legit) farming the same thing. As for gold pick up you are also one of many with millions of gold on your level 60 account. Also transferring gold to a main account, again you are just one out of many (legit and non legit) doing the same thing. Transferring in huge amounts may also get you flagged though. I could see if you are level 1 with 10-100 mil gold then maybe you may get flagged. Only reason I see you can get flagged is from player reports, exploits, or hacks.

Im no expert but Im guessing they flag with a combination of factors which may include duration, how many times said route is run, high gold exchange, money made on RMAH etc. All they have to do is set up a program to flag people who meet certain criteria, have a team of guys confirm/waive flags until they get a script with a high success rate. Once you get that to about, oh, 95% just start autobanning those and have support deal with the 5% legit people caught up in the mess. That's how I imagine it goes down, but again, I have no fucking clue.

Meh, there's people that have been running "unsafe" bots 24\7 (both IB and HB) from the start doing one thing only (until nerf of jars then they changed) for 5 weeks straight now. Not getting banned. I'm not exactly sure how people get banned but I guess many get reported, join a public game or simply uses a specific script blizzard searches for. I'm not quite sure how Blizzard does their bans but I'm pretty sure stuff like having joined a public game or goldselling is more risky then 24\7 botting.

Yes, gold selling is one of the areas where people tend to get caught. Some people just get careless. You need to take precautions. And definitely never have your game open for others to join.

I would love to know the stats on the reasons for why people have been banned: hacked game, gold selling, using macros, fully automated game play, not liking peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, looking at a girl in her eyes when you talk to her!

I use an AutoHotKey macro to empty my bag during a gaming session with friends. It makes it a lot easier on my right index finger :)
And DB makes everything a LOT easier ;-)
