Activision Blizzard Secretly Watermarking World of Warcraft Users?

It's true, haul ass over to ownedcore to look at the thread, the guy has pictures up, everything.

People are aware that almost any picture on the internet is watermarked with meta information, correct? This really means nothing, and as many other people have pointed out, blizzard isn't going to throw out a 3 day ban because of the info they find...It's just too much work
 
so is this how fucking hackers are able to get or battle.net ids?
 
No they just hack any WoW related fan site and scramble together your email + password from there and try to login to WoW with it. And the succes rate is high enough for them to put in that effort.

That sets the screenshots to the highest level of quality, and doesn't include the watermark. Probably nothing to worry about with the level of color degradation and interference in normal screenshots, but if they really wanted to.. they could find it.
 
Nice shot, but it seems to be JPEG artifacts to me. There is no meaning in not putting a true watermark in hi quaility pics.
 
Guys at ownedcore sort of decoded it and found account ID's and are 100% sure these are true watermarks, they even got it up on their main page. Blizzards watching o.O
