Act 2 - Champion Hunting with death support

My monk with 39k hps 8k armor 1k all resist 482 loh 26.5k dps 46% dodge 23% block has a really hard time.. dies really often, but i have avoidance turned on for everything. I could totally farm this manually with this monk but I think I just need to play with the settings to get it right. I could use some more LoH but all those pieces (ring/neck/weapon) are my best DPS pieces. Gonna keep tweaking my gear/settings to see if I can run this right.

seriously you must have like no block or something to be getting owned with those stats. my suggestion is to increase your loh and get above 40% block. if you have to sacrifice your DPS and your HP. i can do this profile cake with half your dps, only 40k hps but i have 48% block and 1800LOH

also my guy just sits there and LOH rofl tanks arcane/desecrator combos lol

i beat a double pack that both had arcane, 1 pack had desecrator and the others had molten and fire chains and some other crap and i managed to kill both packs eventually.
 
My barb is still dieing on Act2, while I can handle Act14 without deaths.
Whats hould I change about my stats? They are around:

DPS: 23k (30k with brawler)
Crit chance: 40%
Crit damage: 160%
AR: 800 buffed
500 LOH (lil too low? Sacrificed some for Crit damage/chance)
37k HP
15% block

Should I raise block%, AR, LOH or strength?

Is the dps high enough for act 2?

Monk - Game Guide - Diablo III , get a little bit of crit and try this out I have hardly any but wow the healing from the tornados is ridiculous

not to mention the synergy of this build is ridiculous! hope this helps a little try it even if you dont have crit wowowow

I would advise you to get more block and more LoH.

My monk stats are 42k HP, 1k AR, 1.3k LoH, 47% Block, 36% Dodge, 24% Crit (Wokring on this one), 15k DPS unbuffed. The bot can handle Act 2 fine but I still die sometimes.

in my experience your better off with more block and more loh. your sort of stuck in the middle of it all. if your going full damage with crit etc you dont have anywhere near enough DPS or crit damage (you want like 60k dps unbuffed and about 250-450% crit damage for a full damage build, which some say works, im not quite sold on it)

or go the other way with defense which is what i do. get your block up (easy enough, get a helm of command, justice lantern ring or string of ears belt to go with your sheild should easily get you over 40% block) and get your LOH up to over 1k.

block is boss, i have 49% block now and its highly amusing watching all the block/avoided text shooting up off my character when standing in arcane beams lol

i am apparently doing something wrong. the profiles work great, my barb cuts right through all the packs. my problem is that it wont goto the next profile. after the first one is done, it just teleports back to town and the anti-stuck kicks in every 10 seconds or so. ive tried adding all the profiles to the scheduler, didnt work. tried adding none of them and just loading the first profile via DB interface, still no luck.

What am I doing wrong?

What scheduler? I just use the the plugins listed on the first page

This profile will probably have no more updates because me with a few other developers are working on a collaboration. The collaboration group is me, cdmichaelb, iuser99, gingerbread, acronic, and radonic. You can find us at #ciggarc on quakenet on IRC. We are currently working on expanding the Act 2 profile. Been adding most of the random dungeons with elites in them. We are just waiting for a DB update to fix random dungeons.
 
I appreciate all the work you've put into this profile, it runs rly smooth and worked great for me. Ive noticed tho that for me I benefit more from a1 farming. Imo the real cash would come from a long act 3 profile (w death support ofc). Cus rly, the only reason I wanted to try out an a2 profile was cus the 5prop plans but apperently they've become worthless... But 6prop plans still have a high value to them

Is this something you plan to do aswell after the a2 profile is done?

Act3 is definitely my end goal for sure. I want those 6 props. I did an act 2 profile simply because 1) I love Khan Dakab's treasure room cause of the 2 rare drop always with 5 stacks. But that can't happen to DB gets some stuff worked out. 2) Wanted to try out my bot for preparation of Act 3

I was looking at doing something simple at first. Skycrown to Stonefort to WP of Rakkis Crossing to were siege breaker entrance is to Arreat Core 2 before Azmodan. It is all static dungeons with all the easiest enemies of Act 3. Doing the fields seems certain death to me. Hardest part of Act 3 imo.

I am actually thinking if i can get my monk act2 ready with investing some millions... but i am not sure about this... :)
already have nice ~900 dps weapons with loh/crit, i won't spend 100+mio's

What mf do you think would be suitable that the drop trade off for more survivability, still makes it a better profile than higher mf with A1?

Basically, will 150-175mf A2>250mf A1? Im thinking of investing around 50 mil to try and get my best runner A2 able.

Yes. So in A1 with 250 you had 2% + 5% = 7% chance. In A2 you need 75% to equal the same... 4% + 3% = 7%.
150MF in A2 would be 4% + 6% = 10% with is much higher that the 250MF in A1.

the big diff from a1 to a2 is the recipes you can get.. and obviously a3 is the best for recipes.. e,g 6 prop
