Accounts being banned within 24 hours of creation

People are STILL saying that its "behavior patterns" and which profile you use and manual investigations.

How does anyone still believe in that?

They are getting accounts within 24 hours, and before they hit 60 in many cases.

Manual investigation would NEVER be that fast.

(Also IF demonbuddy is detected, and im NOT saying that it is, but IF it was detected, blizzard would NEVER let on that they knew it was detected by banning everyone.)

Think about it, if they detected it and knew they did, which approach is better? Get everyone online on that day in 1 shot? and Guarantee that the bot will be shutdown and made undetected emediately, and then they are back in the dark again?

OR make a good show of it by banning in HIGH amounts but leaving 20-40% of the bots alone on each wave to give the impression that everyone is just having really bad luck at the same time.

I know what I would do if I was them.....

I believe it's automatic as well. Probably the same tools that they use to detect auction house bots. I was thinking it has something to do with key strokes, though I'm not sure what kind of key strokes/clicks a bot makes during a script and how random it is. But if the APM (actions per minute) a bot is doing has a certain velocity or pattern, it can probably be measured and detected.

on that opinion, we think alike, but no bot developer is willing to come up with a solution or "waste" their time improving the bot based on speculation.

btw, when your accounts got banned the first time, did you reinstall the game, change IP and all that crap?

Of course its automatic - the bans are based on server side scripts. The question is what algorithms they use and how we can avoid them.
