Account gets locked every time i reboot PC and/or reboot router.Solution needed.

No way they will limit accounts per IP. There are so many places were IPs are shared in big manner, no fucking way. If that was the case there would be alot more attention to this on D3-forums.

My guess still is that it has something to do with maintenance. Last night was maintenance, some of my accounts got locked. But only those which I forgot to turn off before servers go down (and probably ran into the offline-message several times). Others are fine but dunno, just speculating.

If they were limiting them using only IP it would create that problem, yeah. IP-sharing places would be an issue. But, if they check both IP and MAC ID for each incoming connection (you can change MAC ID for System ID, HD ID or whatever), and limit this measure to over 4 incoming connections with the same data (multiboxing problem out-4 max people in party means 4 max multiboxing instances running) there you have an interesting way of finding multibotters.

IP 1 - MAC ID 1- d3 connection 1
IP 1 - MAC ID 1- d3 connection 2
IP 1 - MAC ID 1- d3 connection 3
IP 1 - MAC ID 1- d3 connection 4

This would have to be allowed because of multiboxing.

IP 1 - MAC ID 1- connection 5
IP 1 - MAC ID 1- connection 6
IP 1 - MAC ID 1- connection 7
IP 1 - MAC ID 1- connection XXXXX

This would be obvious botting and induce account lock upon IP change.

What do you think?

That would be a valid assumption. But can't really get around that without relying on VMs right? This is getting kinda annoying, too bad we heard nothing from mods/devs yet, have to rely on manual switching passwords every few days I guess.

But the sun is shining atm, better get out and spend my bot-money on some icecream. :S

I bot 7-8 accounts with the same comp. 3-4 EU and the rest US or vice versa. I don' think they limit number of accounts on the same ip or computer. I think they lock if you login from another ip or even different computer from the same ip. That's my experience at least.

I run 12 accounts on 2 computers 6 each.

First time this happened to me was last Tuesday, the 9th, after maitenance. noticed when i got home from work. All 12 accounts locked. Spent over an hour unlocking them all and got them all running. They all ran solid for a week, until last night.

I lurked this thread for a solution incase it did happen again, in which it did. So I spent the hour doing it again last night. This morning when I wake up, locked again. Getting perturbed at this point. I unlock 8 of them and as I'm doing the 9th it says too many password recoveries have been made and that I must contact customer support. Did the same for the last 3 accounts as well.

I'm off to work now and won't be able to sort this mess out till tonight. Not looking forward to go through the hassle of contacting support 4 times for this, as it may lead to bigger problems for my farm.

Anyone have any advice or suggestions?

i use a p.roxy since a few days. No problems with locked accounts since then. On the flipside the iph will go down a bit because of the added latency

Last night when my accs were locked again and I unlucked them they would get instalocked again after changing password so I would have to do it twice for every account..

/edit: off well, after that shitmaintenance last night my EU accs are locked now. i'm kinda tired of this shit..

The best course now is to just add auth to all of your accounts and let them run until your IP changes. Then you'll only have to manually enter the auth to get them going again rather than resetting password.

I had this once because i forgot to stop bots during maintaince. But honestly after 4 months 24/7 i dong care if it can increase the chance of flag and ban if 24/7 did not did it nothing will.

However i never had this happen othwr than the first time.
Well blizz cms normally ask where are you guys and if you use same provider and that stuff.

You suggest using WinAuth, but it can be a pain in the ass to use it with 10+ bots, since there is no authenticator support in DB or any plugin or relogger that could do it. Correct me if I'm wrong, I would be really happy.

i wonder that you dont use Win Auth for each bot

I wonder you do. Do you have a real life job Quadro? serious question, I can't spend 12 hours a day watching my bots, and therefore use Yar, and Yar does not support Auth.
My bots work for me, I don't work for my bots.

After a week without locking, it happened again. Clean reinstall of fucking everything at the comp doesn't help it from happening.

It was great to see Nesox here in this thread. It was terrible seeing him avoiding answer the "Authenticator Support request". Hell, I would have been satisfied with him saying its too complicated, we can't , Technical reasons, we won't, whatever.
