Hey guys I just wanted to let all know I woke this morning with both my accounts locked due to "suspicious Activity". I'm assuming someone tried to log my account from another IP address. and the only program I shared my account passwords with were YAR.. actually rrix's forked version.. I'd like to think guys here making these plugins wouldn't design the program to get peoples passwords but I truly have no idea what else it could have been.. Anyway what do you guys think?

just laughing

All source code is available, if you feel endangered by these 3rd party tools you can check them for "scams". However i feel safe to say you aren't going to find any unless you've got some kind of YAR version from an uncommon source.

Keep in mind logging in from your laptop has these effects as well for it is checked by MAC or something not just IP :)

If for any reason you don't trust it anyway, feel free to do the relogging by hand for ultimate security

The usernames, passwords, DB keys, bot names, etc, are stored plaintext in the settings file, so, keep that in mind when using it.

This is the same between Sinterlkaas's YAR and my YAR fork - it is exactly how he implimented it, I didn't change it.

If someone else is accessing your computer without your knowledge, then that has nothing to do with DB, YAR, or anything you'll find on these forums...

We can't really help you secure your PC or help you avoid making bad security decisions.

Yeah i haven't logged on with another comp and nobody else been on my comp.. I did restart my comp yesterday for like the first time in a while.. as ezpwnd posted prob has something to do with my ISP changing the IP or simply cuz I restarted my comp (lame). Sure hope it doesn't do this every time I turn off/restart my comp. If it is due to my ISP changing an IP would setting up a static IP solve the problem?

Ok so this is apparently some type of bug or something that has been plaguing a growing number of us, some to the point it virtually renders DB useless, others have been locked out so many times they cant even password reset anymore and have to call Blizz customer support for each account.. (glad I only have 2) and seems that what we all have in common is using YAR.. I did notice the other day when the servers were down that YAR continually tried to login while they were offline, though I believe it's not supposed to.. but I'm telling you for whatever reason it did. Anyway using authenticator seems to be the only solution for this problem and there have been legitimate posts asking the Devs for their input and requesting D3 authenticator support with DB which apparently was deleted by the moderators.. If this is the only solution to this severe growing issue than I agree DB needs to step-up and do something about this.. LOL Let us be heard Damn-you!!
