Been leveling a new character for 2 weeks. Used 80% questing and 20% grinding. Got up to lvl 45, then grinded to lvl 47 and got disconnected, perma-banned for use of a hack program.

Grinding is really dangerous now, not sure what they use to detect it but it definitely flags people for investigation. Sorry for your loss =(

You definitively should call up Blizzard and contest the ban, you have nothing to lose. Claim you have no idea what your're talking about and that it must have been an automated ban because you didn't do anything wrong.

Just a few days ago my buddy can suspended for 3 days by an automated system and got it reversed within like 30 min. He even got Blizzard to apologize xD

Blizzard is auto banning based on anything attaching to root files and causing an error. I believe this is largely why there are so many bans recently.

I had an account get hit with a 3 day ban a week or so ago for the use of a "hack" program. All I had to do was submit a ticket protesting the ban and I had my account back within 30 minutes.

From what has been posted before, Blizzard has autobans on some exploits on the economy and grinding. I would definitely contest the ban, but you probably got autobanned.

EDIT: also they are not autobanning based on what is attached to root files. They autoban based on behavior.

Really? I have had errors because of HB and haven't been banned yet.

Damn, 2 weeks to 47.........sounds to me more like exploration XP leveling and not botting...36 hrs to 45-47 is botting lol.....

I have been using the HB bot for questing, battle grounds and gathering for about 2 weeks now. I would quest for a few levels on one toon then switch to another. All toons I have used the bot on for leveling had already been level 40+ before I started to use the bot. I even botted a day or 2 then took a 3 day break.

Yesterday I downloaded the patch and never logged in then received an email stating that I was suspended.

Hello!
I recently received an email stating that my account was issued a 72 hour ban for "hacks" of some kind, and I am curious as to what was considered "hacks" that was running on my PC during me playing?

Some have said that my ban is probably just an automated ban and it may be because I am online a lot and farm a lot of mats. Others say that if I have been getting some game crashes that it could have been the cause of my ban.

Both of which make sense because I both am online a lot and have received around 4-6 game crashes in the last week or 2.

Either way, I know that I have done nothing with the account that should be considered illegal (unless selling in game mats on the AH is banable), and would like to appeal for the ban to be lifted.

If the ban is not lifted I would like to know more details about why I was issued a 72 hour ban (if at all possible) so that I can be sure it never happens again!

Within 10 minutes I got a reply and my suspension was lifted!
