This is the second account I had that was banned. It was farming Ghost Iron Ore pretty exclusively in Kunlai Summit, this time on a Medium Population realm. No prior offenses, straight perma-banned. Stored items in GB and mailed a lot of Ghost Iron Ore to an alt. No whispers registered.

as it have been mentioned alot in forum and ban forum, gatherbuddy is really unsecure atm as it seems especially if u run it long periods as u did.. i run it max 1h and sometimes many times with time between max 1 h /day before i either log of or do something else..
really sad to hear uve been banned but as it have been said before bottin is never secure..

You say the GB is really unsecure, if we say we could not use GB 80% of all that have the BOT would stop using it GB is one of the main reason why you havbe the bot. Sure you use it to lvl your char, but when that is done. its GB to get gold ext.

80%+ of the ban reports state that gb is their ban reason ;-)

and no its not the main reason for some ppl maybe for u many others use it for other things i would say my gb % usage of the bot is under 40% and i have botted on main account for many years no ban no suspension...

Ive gotta say I am super paranoid lately about botting. I bot for laziness reasons never for very long and never in any kind of pattern and most of my toons are poor lol but I farm the mats i need for my daily cd's I bot ONLY when im playing my main account and try to supervise as much as possible. I have to say, the amount of people ive seen which are obvious bots doesnt do anything for my confidence either! I have followed people for a few minutes before (obviously i never report them) but it does prevent me from botting unattended. I've even come across bots levelling toons up as well. I think I will try x-realm and see if its any easier.

Thanks, mate! I was reckless and should not have botted for such a long time, unattended and in the same area. I am convinced that both my recent bans have been due to player reports. Honorbuddy has been quite unstable lately, but I have myself to blame in the end for being careless. I'm a bit bummed, but the risk of ban is part of what makes botting exciting. I'll try and be a bit more careful from now on...

Some good news, Blizzard turned it into 72h ban with a final warning.
