I was in an LFR when it happened. Sent an appeal immediately. I got this e-mail a few minutes later.

I know this below is automated, what are the chances of me getting my account back? Did me sending an appeal so quickly have any effect you think?

Let me know guys! Just put a ton of by hand work into two characters and am hoping for the best result.

looking at most reports Gatherbuddy seems really risky to use at the moment. being banned during LFR not when you were Gathering seems more like it was reports that got you banned. and btw you said you're realm is Ner'zhul is that a US or EU realm ? and all you can do is appeal and plead,

I have sent an appeal, and it was a US server that isn't Ner'Zhul (I put a random one to attempt to remain a little anonymous).

If it was from reports, does that give me a better chance?

They will not unban your character.
Gatherbuddy is too risky mate, You shouldn't use Gatherbuddy at all.

That's a bummer, well, I'll still cross my fingers on the appeal.

I have heard from other people that they have been unbanned or given a 72 hour after.

Gather buddy has been risky since about 4-6 updates ago. I don't remember when it was exactly but since then 3hrs a day will most likely get your ass banned.

So the general consensus seems to be I am not getting the account back. Bummer for sure.

GB2 is too risky to use right now. Look at all the ban reports here 90% of them are from GB2 bans =O.
