AB Fail step 3 downloading Update

I can't update AB, dowloading the db, the download starts but stops at 7/8%.
Step 3: Fail.

Closed Antivirus and ran as admin, nothing... can someone help me pls??

Are running a VPN? I have noticed that the servers require a much more stable internet connection for that, and I often got fails while using AB through a VPN, so I disabled it only to d/l the update, then later restarted the program with the VPN i used.

Deleted AB folder and tryed to reinstall it, same problem....

windows 8.1 machine still broken but download got further after deleting my anti virus completely- still broken we the hell is the support?
tried to download on windows 7 machine got nearly all the way then it failed

after about 14 attempts to download on windows 7 machine it finally got there, still couldn't achieve a full download on the 8.1 windows machine so copied files across and all is working

try installing that CC and frame net first I think that's the issue that's causing it not to download on 8.1

hope this helps, I just been playing around with it and pulling my hair out but I think that's our problem

I tried to download the ab client again after copy from other pc still will not download but copy will run, all the store plug ins are playing up(not working) though on both pc's
