Also: does Revenge work better as a healthgainer than Rend?

I only have 3% life steal and revenge is more than enough to keep me alive, only time I'll die is to tree poison or a ton of bulls hitting me at once. I have 300k unbuffed (sitting in town, this is counting passives) dps and 60k hp. With both revenge and overpowers crit chance up I break 800k dps.

At 180k dps/3% ls/~2k life on hit/500 allres, my only deaths, from what I've seen, come from random bull hits or the bot trying to loot in poison or champ aoes. The bot also tends to derp when WOTB is not on cooldown, but you don't have enough fury to use it; he'll prioritize getting WOTB up instead of using whirlwind to survive, which leads to some deaths.

I thought about dropping rend for revenge a few weeks ago. I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

How does the bot handle revenge? The bot can not use revenge while whirlwinding so it behaves in a manner similar to rend. I'm assuming it just stops where it is standing and uses revenge once triggered.

To answer my own question:

The bot uses revenge beautifully. It attempts to keep the buff up and use it on low health. However, the benefit from it is relatively low if using a two-hand weapon (SKORN). I go from 91->94% crit with the buff which is great for dual wielding, but it is not as much of a dps gain as having a 900% weapon damage dot on all targets with Skorn.

-blacklisted DC to FoM Portal for those who have problems with that...

nope, it doesn't since we use the same base of code.

Aaaand, as I said before: I have absolute zero problems with entering ans staying in crypts ^^

zorked, i dont wtf is going up, always dl the newest version of your profil, and have one problem in Decaying, it always make my barb move back to the entrance and stuck, can I do sth to make this profil kick in? :)

I really don't know what causes this for you and a few others :/ can you perhaps provide a log? Everything else is blind guessing by me and results in a bloated profile code that helps to prevent fictional things :P

On the other hand I have discovered that sometimes in the normal profile the bot comes across a DC entrance when starting the FoM loop and does not directly enter it. (happens mostly when the bot starts at the northern waypoint and DC spawns in the northern location too)
In those circumstances you just have to be patient. The bot will check the spot, just a TrinityMoveTo later ;)
 
Can you post your settings (DB and trinity) screenshot in your main thread? as a demonstrate and also I'll help compare to see if there's anything there that caused the issue. This is really urgent as I see more and more ppl encountering this issue.

I think rend scales ias and crit in it. most of the dot skills in D3 works the same: if it can't crit, it'll do base dmg * (1 + cc % cd %); if it has the frequency locked, it'll do base dmg * ias%. It can happen at the same time too. So it's irrelevant whether you are dualwielding or using skorn

I myself also tested for a few hours and observed, I still think rend provides better dps due to the fact that the dot damage is indeed pretty decent. 10% cc provides only about 10% dps for me since I have 80% cc during combat without the 10% buff from revenge.
For ppl with enough defensive stats, you can pick other runes for Rend to increase a little bit dps output (only if you rarely die). 3% LS from belt "could" be enough with correct gear & game level combination. But I still recommand rend-9%LS as a starter.

Nopes mate, you are wrong.

After doing a lot of tests, the IPH gained from a really good witching hour + ls rend has never been able to compete with a medium range Immortal belt + range rune on rend.

And I spent quite a bit more on the witching hour than on the Tribal binding. Simply, the increased dps can not overcome the massive loss of EHP due to the loss of the 2 set-3 set or 5 set bonus. Even wearing no other immortal piece, one could argue the 3 Ls itself on the belt (and on every skill, not only rend) clearly comes on top of the wh due to alllowing the use of range rune. (which is huge, no matter if you have 50k dps or 500k).

Most people who have been botting barbs already tried this for themselves, and almost everybody got to the same conclusion.

Of course, there could be a certain bot with 120k life, 800 all res and 30k dps who could benefit from the wh more....not your average bot obviously.
