A theory for saving main account

This is what i do.. and it may seem silly but hear me out.

I have 3 PCs that i bot on (very basic shit ones you don't need anything fancy they cost me $300 each from Gumtree, i bought these over a space of 4 yrs, *I had to upgrade the ram*), each one runs a VPN and a Mac changer, i have never logged into WoW using my real IP and MAC Address on these PCs (Yes you can change your MAC Address, there is a free program or you can buy one, i use the free one). I run 1 account on each computer for roughly 8 hours then i log out, i then change VPN connection and MAC Address (i have specific VPN connections and MAC addresses i use for these accounts) all up i bot 9 accounts over a day/night, the last three are running while i sleep so they are logged in a little longer then the others.

Now on my main account i only ever log into it on my good PC which i use my real MAC and IP addresses. This way if any of my botting accounts do get banned my main is safe. (Over a 4 yr period I've Never had a ban, *I WISH I COULD PROVE THIS*) ( i have had a 2 week suspensions on a few account for suspicious activity but no 6 month or greater bans) (Oh and one account i trolled trade chat with profanity and got a 36hr suspension)

All the ore, herb and other materials and stuff i get from botting i either sell to private buyers from Tradechat (the ones asking to buy bulk mats) or i run a Paid for AH bot and list. (I only use the AH bot to list never to buy or under cut.. Looks a little more suspicious doing that, especially when someone lists something and you buy it and re list it at a massive under cut, or as i seen a few times 30 pages of ore from one toon). All the gold i transfer to a lvl 60 account and either sell privately at a decent profit to myself, and cheaper then the gold selling websites or i sell directly to a few of those same gold website but a less price then what i can get it by selling it privately. (I built a good base of customers over the years, mainly from guild Ive been in and a few friends of friends so to say)

My way works for me so i thought I'd share it with you all, maybe it will work for a few of you. Either way you look at it, you should never bot on your main account if you don't want it to be banned. (It does happen) All the achievements, mounts, pets, toys, gear, raids ect you've done will be for nothing. (I'd stop playing WoW for ever if my main account got banned.)

Well I'm off, i hope you all have a good read and ponder what I've said, maybe it'll work for you maybe it wont, tho i can and will say I've been doing this for a very long time and been very successful at it. Its all about being smart and finding ways to work it to benefit yourself.

Oh one little note: To anyone that wants to say this account was made this year yes you are correct this is lucky number 9 botting account

Protip for people thinking a VPN/IP/MAC changer does shit like protect you from being banned

Your computer has a hardware ID, its a fingerprint of your system, the only way to get a new fingerprint? buy a new motherboard.
Blizzard has your fingerprint when you log into their system, if you are constantly changing your IP/MAC but your fingerprint stays the same
Blizzard will be able to tell you are still on the same PC and it will look worse.

the issue i find with this statement is that one person's experience can not be held true for the whole community. personally, i have had many accounts banned for just being the gm of a storage guild bank. had a couple banned for running auctions though a guild bank that was fueled by other bots. as stated above, no one knows what happens in the ban process.

ps. id think that having 700 different ip's logged from the same comp would that in itself be a flag. im not sure what your definition of 'dynamic ip' is, but mine only changes when i unplug my modem for 5+ minutes. but, again, its only a guess on the flag status.

Has anyone here who already escaped the ban wave?
I play on the server Brazilian and have not seen any comment Brazilian who took ban wave.

I use my bot 12H per day principal and others .

I'm going for two months without bans.

I agree on the things that blizzard logs enough info BUT changing window size is the first thing for being anonymous afaik. Diffrent installations are for keybind and other cache checks and I agree it has minimal affects too.
I also agree nothing is safe but the topic has nothing to do with it. Anyway, the thing is lets say I botted and what if I stop now and 5 months later a banwave hits. Will they do detailed check(trade checks of botted account) to reach my main acc or not. Not mentioning being online at a banhammer time(during that week when they analyze and filter data to ban). Nobody knows the answer, its just a guess and %90 of the time main accounts are not banned(for trading gold/char). So it depends for howmany months straigth they log someones IP. Cause my IP change at least 5-6 times a day and 5 months later they will see 700+ diffrent IP on my main account which is dynamic.

Anyway again, the topic is about a theoric question but not a question asking; "will I get banned?". It is "Would I make myself a free ban pass card if I take action before them?"

P.S. I used questing bot to level 2 alts before on main before last years banwaves,(The last action was 2-3 months before the first banwave) Then I didnt use any bot till banwave, my account was fine.

If an account is botting/gold selling or linked to a botting/gold selling account it 'can' get banned.
Nothing of what people say about prevention of bans is gospel, its just speculation and own belief.
changing IP, MAC, VPN, VM's, installation, window size? nothing matters, that account still connects to their server and that account is unique.
In short: Blizzard arent stupid, if you are worried about losing an account then abide by their T&C's to the letter.
