A little help for someone who's new to all this.

Hi everyone!

I am trying to make HB grind some elites for easy RaF xp in Icecrown (Or, if you like, these same mobs drop anywhere between a 10pc to a stack and a half of frostweave cloth if you want to use this to farm for that.) There's already a profile for it but the problem i'm having is that my only toon leveled and geared enough to grind the mobs is my mage and even with a ilvl of 391 if not done correctly the mobs will kill you. The end goal I would like to accomplish is having HB do the following:


1)Move to a certain spot. ( <6166.627, 2688.094, 573.9144> )
2)Make sure the mage has a Mana Gem in it's bags
3)Target a Chosen Zealot (Well refer to as Mob A)
4)Cast Arcane Blast at Mob A (This will pull the left half of the room a second later)
5)Switch to a second Chosen Zealot on the right half of the room (Mob B)
6)Cast Arcane Barrage on Mob B (This will pull the right half of the room a second later)
7)Wait until the right half of the room pulls.
8)Cast Mirror Image
9)Use Mana Gem
10)Use Arcane Power
11)Spam Arcane Explosion until everything dies.
12)Loot all the bodys
13)Check if you need to go vendor items, if so port back to dalaran, mail Frostweave cloth to my alt, and repair, and fly back.
14)Make a Mana Gem if needed.
15)If Mana is not 100%, eat until it is.
16)Wait for the Cooldown for Mirror Image to finish. (3 min, which is about 30 seconds longer than it takes for all of the mobs to respawn)
17)Go back to Step 3 and repeat.


So what combination of Bots/CC/Plugins would I need to make? Which part of HB would take care of the 2 unit pull (Steps 3 to 6)? If someone could just point me in the right direction of where to start it would help me immensely.

If you have a pally or a dk. Full set of the blue Boe crafted pvp gear along with some new heroic weapons is enough gear at an ilvl of 370 or less. Just make sure they are in tank spec.

So my suggestion would be to level on of those as they are great farmers anyways than go back to the raf leveling grind.

edit: I didn't know this was in the dev section so my apoligies as you want your mage to do this and you are trying to get a setup made to do so. I though this was a general help thing( tapatalk doesn't show this on my android )

Yeah, this is more of a general "I have an idea, I have a project, I want to try this, can someone point me in the right direction" type thing, because yeah, common sense dictates that I just level my DK 2 more levels. But thanks for your response anyway.

I don't think that there is any CC that supports the actual combat part since you have to put everything on hold until the entire room is within the range of the explosion.
I would suggest to code together a RaidBot CC that does all of that since plugins etc would slow the CC down.
Since your choice of class is mage, you will probably die a wasteful death if the CC gets interrupted by a stupid plugin that causes the Pulse to sleep.

The Flying and the Mail part would be easy to do.

Thanks for that. It really is a pain in the ass as a mage but I'll look into this. My mage is ilvl 391 and even with me doing it myself it's hard and sometimes I walk away with only 15% health >.< I did just finish lvling my DK yesterday and he can rip through that room with 377 crafted PvP gear but I'm gonna see if I can get this to work (just because I know some people who only have a mage and would be intrested in this.

You should have a look at the "brute force strat farm" botbase, it's around the forums somewhere. It handles movement as well as combat.
