89-90 Dread Wastes

Hello dear community

i'm having a problem with kick's profile. im using the [N - Quest] 88-89 Kun-Lai Summit [Kick]-file, but somehow there pop up a message, that tell me i can't do that, because im not level 90, and it knows that im level 89.
are there any other things that i could do for leveling except for grinding?

Please report this to kicks thread.
You can probably go into the profile and change levels yourself.

Hi, J1nz0,

This is not a bug in Kick's profiles. The Dread Wastes profiles are written such that the toon must know flying. This means the toon must be level 90.

Somehow, you have cheated yourself out of the required experience. Maybe you skipped a zone, or the Checkpoints bypassed a series of quests via stop/start Honorbuddy.

So, the remedies I know of would be to try another profile package until you get 90:

Didnt know that!
Ill keep that in mind. Havent leveled a toon in a while.

Somehow the profile didn't use to work correctly, so i thought i have much more profiles left, that it would be enough to hit lvl 90. but i didn't thougt that the last profile would go so fast ^^
anyway cavas profile isn't even finished yet, botanist's profile is grinding only and alliance only.

nvm, im doing it on my own... but thanks for your help

the profiles work fine, you either skipped a profile or something else is wrong.

Is it skipping quests in the zone that you're in?

Hiya, Kicksbackfromthedead,

There are a number of users reporting coming up short on experience. (You'll see when you clean out your thread). I think this is attributed to two things:

  • The profiles don't have IgnoreCheckpoints="true".
    This means a HB stop/start can cause some experience loss by not doing some quests. And due to navigation issues, these profiles require a fair bit of stop/start in Jade Forest for one.

  • There is no 'grind area' at the end of Townlong Steppes to guarantee level 90.
    Imho, this should probably be provided since Dread Wastes requires 90 for flying purposes.

hi Kick surely the fastest way from 89-90 is in the dread wastes on a ground mount? I found this to be so on 3 other toons before trying botting. 87 Kun lai, 89 Townlong & 89 in Dread Wastes. You obviously wrote your profile for flying because its faster once you have flying ... but it seems crazy to me to do those quests at 90 when you can easily do them at 89 AND get awesome XP whilst doing them. Why choose a slower way of levelling? Would you consider doing a ground mount Dread wastes for lvl 89please? I cant find one elsewhere only alliance.
 
Make sure that you have read all his "requirements" in his profile, for the 89 - 90.

What the requirement to be level 90? My point is I would like to do dread wastes at 89 like I have done manually on three toons already. You end up revered with Klaxxi as I hit 90. The only reason I can see you might avoid this is the class or gear is too low to cope with the less finesse of an auto program in Dread Wwastes?

If you are referring to something else would you be so kind as to point it out specifically?

Having same problem. I didn't skip a quest, i ran Townlong-Steps until the profile automaticly switched, and I recieved too "You must be level 90 to run this profile!
Yes, I know the min level is 89"

Hi, Syunsi,

I'm sorry you're coming up short on experience with Kick's profiles. The zone level for "Dread Wastes" may be recommended as 89, but Kick has designed this profile to use the flying skill--which requires level 90 to fly in Pandaria.

Your choices to get level 90 include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Cava's profile pack (questing)
  • Botanist's profile pack (grinding)
  • Many other profile packs offered by the various authors
  • Manually go find an area to grind in until you ding
  • Run the first few quests in the Dread Wastes manually, until you ding, then go train flying.
    After that, Kick's profiles will skip over the quests you did by hand
You must be level 90, and go learn flying, before trying to continue with Kick's profiles in the "Dread Wastes".
