my account that was 8 years old 14000+ acheve points 150 mounts 500 pets 20 level 100s 10 level 85-90 chars and I bottted almost 24 hours aday for 4+years when I could just got banned perma today. GG
only personal gain botting no AH posting no Farming mats only questing dungeon bg and dailys

I got banned today (10/02) and am pretty annoyed.

What I honestly think happens, is that people report us in RBG's, and then Blizzard then investigates our accounts and notices certain consistencies with our accounts and assume that it is an account that bots.

Who knows how far they can go back and exactly what information they can pinpoint in on to see patterns for a person who typically bots.

It's crazy though - You had no other warnings throughout your entire time having your account? Usually, they will give one warning before perma banning an account.

I was banned today for RBG's. I do not know what exactly happened because I was watching the bot a lot, but I went afk a bit and was using a TAUREN character and I think it got stuck/caught doing weird things like getting stuck in a doorway.

I don't know how to read the logs that well, but if somebody high up would like to check out my log because I seen all these weird errors that my bot was doing and then that's when my wow cut off. I think he was stuck and my bot was being all glitch and was seen by multiple people in RBG.

Sounds like you ran it way too long and did a major no-no, you used it in dungeons.

They implied your account's been reviewed multiple times.

So that implies they weren't sure before, but finally got the proof they needed.

RBG's (being reported by others) and using it in 5mans would definitely do it,

Why would running dungeons "do it"?

It makes sense if people were noticing him constantly zoning in and out of the dungeons over and over. But why else? I typically let a couple bots spam dungeons about 12-15 hours a day and haven't had any issues thus far...

I don't know if he meant solo DB farming or group farming, because in lfg dungeon farming you're about as obvious as you could be. It's more personal so it's much more likely people would report you.

I consider botting 5mans (via lfg) to be one if not the literal most dangerous things you can do with HB.

As for your comments about you botting dungeons, it's only a matter of time.

I personally do not run LFG 5-mans. I just have a couple bots doing a lower level dungeon by itself, soloing it. Would you say that is "dangerous" as well?

It's anecdotal evidence but the general consensus is repetitive solo dungeon farming puts you on the radar more than other things, probably because it's a method of earning gold that mass gold farmers use.

This shouldn't need to be explained, but no one moves in the same pattern at all times.

Im going to tell you why you got banned and its almost verified. My last 3 accounts got perma banned with only one coming back after 6 month is upheld and the reason for it is BG's. I only say this is due to so many botters and not just hb their are other companies out there that find it really easy to farm honor in random bg's so blizz has taken a hard step to improving bg's buy really hammering down on bg botters. So its a mix of player reports or blizz just surfing the bg's but either way i havnt touched a bg since and knock on wood have not seen a bann my way. Does that mean im not going to get banned no i prolly will some day but what it does mean is im not bringing more un wanted attn. to myself. Stay away from bg's and your account will last alot longer.

Its sad that you have not checked any of the safety botting threads in these 8 years, mate.

I feel ya m8. Got my main account taken in may ban wave (2004-2015) for 6 months tho. I used to bot b4 wod like crazy, never had any suspensions. In WOD i only used Enyo so bot was never unsupervised, still got flagged somehow.

I had the same thing happen, only used Enyo while doing quests and raids and somehow got the 6month ban.

Would you say that using BG Millz and supervising the bot while doing RBG's is a bad idea too? I've been banned a couple times with going afk and it seems random.

Does anybody run BG's and have no issues being banned?

I bought another WoD and I'm just hesitant. I've only been banned from BG's. So, I agree this is where Blizzard seems to catch most of us. I'm assuming itt has been people reporting me for bottish behaviors and then Blizzard verity if themselves. This is what they usually tell me too when they don't reverse my ban.

They tell me that they looked into things and it was verified that I was using 3rd party programs.
