Without a doubt, honorbuddy is the best bot for it's value. If you're a smart botter with a little patience in learning how to code profiles, your gaming career is long lived with botting.

I can leave things running, completely afk for 8+ hours without worrying about my account.

Pros:
- Increasingly flexible API for developing plugins and creating more custom profiles.
- Outstanding support community, terrific up time and turnovers with patches.
- A great "Login to bot and press start" easy set up for newer botters.
- 98% afk 1-90 leveling + professions (after changing profiles/sometimes changing botbase if getting ganked too much)

Cons:
- BGBuddy logic is great, still gets easily noticed as a bot. The way bgleveling is going, 70% of the bg is bots. I would like to see some more randomization implemented, so even 10/10 bots would win a twin peaks.
- Community support is great but flooded with elitists who know only about their experiences.
- Community is also flooded with "I made 1 profile, you should donate to me" mentality. It's appreciated to contribute but I put you in a similar category as people who sing on the streets and beg for money.
- Professionbuddy botbase is really strong but not easy to create quick flowing profiles (from my experience).



I'll probably get yelled at for some of these bullet points i made, but overall I love the bot and wouldn't be as successful without it.

Depends on faction:

Horde: I can do 1-50 questing, using kicks + a few tweaks to turn off certain settings. From 50-60 I either bgbuddy (since god help me if i go near blasted lands), or if it's a healer type, I can do dungeon buddy (except LBRS, that bugs out when the jump happens). From there in BC area, questing works well, I do mixed mode to give me some honor for level 70 pvp off pieces. 70-80 is a questing breeze, make sure to have some gold and big bags, pause the bot to completely sell everything (you get a lot of cloth in northrend). 80-82 I do hyjal questing, I get ganked a lot bug it's the fastest way. 83-85 I use dungeon buddy + questing (only if it's a dps/healer). 85-90 now that it's 33% less exp, I can quest/bg the whole way to 90 without a problem. I do stop to change the questing profiles but since bg buddy is going too, it's no real downtime.

(i'll do alliance if you really want, but it's almost identical)
 
yea im alliance but im pretty sure its pretty similar. i see, i'll keep this in mind for next time. i had a heck of a time leveling with questing only... too many bugs. thanks

the devs decided against letting profile writers advertise their websites on this forum. one reason you don't see many of the various profiles offered.

and honestly, if i make 100usd with a free profile i found on the forums, i would donate 5usd to the writers. [and i have, you know who you are]

this is in no way a negative response. just recommending you get to know some of the profile writers, contact them on skype, they are the nicest people you will meet.

I've sadly tried to get in touch with some great developers, only to be brushed off as if I'm some peon begging for scraps . I have a strong knowledge of code logic and I would love to bounce ideas around with other people. If any developers read this, please feel free to contact me, let's collab :)

I'd love to stir the waters in the dungeon grinding profiles with 5 bots.
 
look around, i think i remember seeing something about an honorbuddy chatroom. and a friendly message on skype goes a long ways.
 
Think the honorbuddy irc is still going and there is a ventrillo too!
 
try it out before making judgments. i do fine contacting profile writers on skype. im polite, considerate, appreciative, and let the profile writer know it.

but... my motives may be unpure, i look, listen, and learn with every conversation. i get better and better at being self sufficient in this game.

What would you like to know more about? It has endless possibilities as a botbase, but creating profiles require a very specific understanding. They attempted to make a "Do-it-yourself" interface, but it was buggy and under supported.

Are there any tips you give to botters who use GB2/Gatherbro? What steps can we take to lower our banrates?

What is your routine currently? Best tip to give: "Bot against the masses" How I gather is I would do a /who in an area to see how many people i could tell are botters ie: Druids, DK's, Pallies (fastest farmers). Learn to create your own profiles, it's really very simple. There are so many plugins and guides talking about different methods to create them. If you look on wowhead - you can see how node placements for mining and herbs are placed throughout the map. Make profiles that are specific to how they're laid out.

Hopefully that helps a little.

It's in theory productive in the basis of "making sure i'm not a bot", but in yield it kills the profit. For a test I RNG'd my best profile (220 mining nodes per hour, i know that's not great, but it was 100% afk). It brough me down to the 70's in node gathering. If safety is a factor because you bot a tremendous amount every day/night; Yes, randomize your shit. If you're a casual botter who isn't hyper agressive; Keep it simple, go for NPH (nodes per hour, not neil patrick harris)
 
What do you consider hyper aggressive? I bot overnight and play legitly during the day except when i'm away. Which would you recommend?
