As you guys are talking about absurd bans, I know a wild one. I have a friend who was not botting. He was abusing AH! He made tons of gold with crafting and started abusing the AH. He would buy all tigers cards on the market just before Darkmoon and post them at 10x the price. Buy, sell, buy sell..etc. Sometimes he would just sit in AH to undercut people every minute and he would buy their stock when it gets low enough. Just to piss them off and make some more gold. And he was just holding the gold for fun.
He got banned for abusing of the economy and had to call Paris a few times to get it lifted. Blizz doesn't like it when you piss people off
