72 Hours Suspension (First in 2 years)

3)What profile were you using?: "[Fly-H] Northrend 70-80 v0.7d"
NOTE: Have never used this profile before until today.


4)What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname:
FPSWare Druid


5)What plugins are you using?: Rarekiller, Antidrown, Talented, Autoequip 2

6)How many hours per day did you bot for?: 7-10 (Using the Relogger for random intervals)

6.5)What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot?

90% or more (likely more. I rarely if ever leave the bot alone when it's questing, particularly when it's questing on a profile I'm unfamiliar with)



7)How many auctions per day did you have?: At maximum, 20. More recently, 0 (auctioning took place on another server at least several days ago.)

8)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods? No

9)Was your account involved in gold selling? No

10)EU or US realm? US

This suspension happened because one or more characters on this account were identified using an unauthorized ***** program, also known as a "hack.". These programs provide character benefits normally not achievable in the World of Warcraft. Such benefits include, but are not limited to, increased speed, teleportation, or running through walls/boundaries. Use of these unauthorized programs harm the game environment because they offer an unfair advantage over other players and superscede the intended limits of the game.

This is my first ban in 2+ years of botting. Though I am NOT making a claim, I would like to say that it is plausible that some activity within the profile mentioned may have been the cause. I will be digging through that profile with a fine tooth comb to find unusual coding.

Upon investigation, I've noticed a trend in the profile, that MAY (not claiming it is) be the resulting cause of bans across (possibly more than have been recorded on the forums) various classes using this profile.

The code is as follows:

This code appears 106 times in this profile. This code is primarily for druids (obviously), however this code does NOT have an "<IF> CLASS" Attribute to denote to only be used if I am a druid. However, with that sid, I don't find the code to be something particularly used a lot in normal game-play by users, and its' very frequented occurrence by players who are NOT Druids could be resulting in strange activity by Blizzards computers and is possibly getting people banned unnecessarily.

I am in no way putting blame or fault with anyone in particular, however, would like to address this issue with the profile maker to see if this helps resolves the ban issue for players using this profile. I don't know for certain this is what is causing the ban, and will continue to pursue other avenues of possibility as to the cause of my temp ban.

I think bottercrazy is a lazy profile copy and paster.
He's taken A LOT of code from different profiles.

I'm not going tl make any accusations one way or the other, but yeah I will agree, the profile seems to have skiddish coding in it that may be setting off little alarm bells on Blizzard's end. Please if you're reading this, DO NOT USE THIS PROFILE until proper corrections or fixes have been made by the devs.... cough kickazz cough...
 
Yeah, I wouldn't recommend it. However, It could be just bad luck on top that. I have no idea.
The profile does need fixing though. It's been dead for a while.

Oh yeah, I agree. It absolutely could be bad luck, but as I'm looking through this profile, I do see sufficient reason why it might be more than that, especially when considering how many others have been banned using this profile since June.

I find using macros in profiles to be something one might do once in a while for something particularly important like the above. But code like this, particularly RUNMACRO behavior occurs 190. This is only for 10 levels. (70-80)

Compare that to my original profile, in which RUNMACRO occurs roughly 12 times between 1-68.

Hmm... I got banned, and I used that profile, just can't remember if the ban was while using it - quite possibly could have been (and I bot with WoW on my 2nd screen, while I'm at my PC, so watch it 100% of the time) :/
 
Happend to me too.

I got banned three days ago, at the exact same time as your ban took place, and our config is matching like a pair of shoes, used the profile just a few hours (from level 70 with 1 bar to level 70 with 15 bars). But I kept receiving error messages, so I just stopped using the profile. Logged back on a few hours later, tried to log on and got the message that I were suspended for 72 hours.

DO NOT USE THIS PROFILE!
