letters and words used very often go into the official dictionary, it's something to do with a word or letters being used for a different meaning over a period of time thus becoming a different meaning than it's original definition.

I always thought it meant a thousand thousands (million) (1000x1000=1000000) Nothing to do with Kilo...unless you mean to say that since Kilo is the term for THOUSANDS.... But when someone says I made $1.2k they dont meant I made 1.2 Kilos dollars, they mean I made 1.2THOUSAND Dollars...hence 1.2kk means 1.2 thousand thousands or 1.2 million..... bah....=/
