Not going to deal with the whole template. I'll give you the high level.

All 7 accounts banned, 6 barbs, 1 monk.

All doing act 3 champ hunting.

A few of the accounts were 1-2 weeks old, rest were months old and had 1600+ hours on them.

6 different ips for the 7 accounts. No VMware or anything.

So in summary, i'm not exactly sure how they are banning at this point; maybe through waypoints order in the act? I'm going to assume they added some additional pattern detection type stuff.

So would this mean that banning by ip or botting on multiple IP myth is debunked?

Sorry to see you got hit, still remember using your fast sarkoth profiles from back in the days =)

Were they running all 7 accounts simultaneously on one windows installation? How many hours per day?

Yes.

And they were 24/7

Honestly, i think running in a VM is completely pointless.

oh my, should i worry about my acc? i got 1000 hours played on my monk and i bought the game and created my acc at the d3 release date 15th may i guess
i only bot on one monk and thats my main acc, i dont keep it 24/7 there are big breaks from time to time, so do u guys think i should worry about getting banned/watched with these piece of information ive given?
there has just been a small update just smth like couple of hours ago, and i got this doubt should i stop botting until a new db release or for a while?
sry for my bad eng, thx in advance

edit: i also play a lot by hand every day doing different things like hunting keys rushing friends and testing gear

Sad to hear from you Carguy, you made nice Sarkoth profiles , even i got banned but that's Blizzard's fault )

yeah once you get to 4 bots or so you can no longer play by hand at all and makes them look very suspicious to me... doubt that is how blizzard is banning but i try to mimic real life play as much as possible.

Well hence why I did IP filtering. I know for a fact blizzard can tie accounts together via ip; i've botted d3 and wow long enough to see direct results of this.

Anyway, i'll just rebuild obviously. i've made far too much just to roll over and quit :D. Most likely though, i'll be making my own act 1/2/3 profiles to keep it under the radar.

hi carguy, since it seems that u are a very experienced person on this community i'd like to ask directly to you, is this way i've told above a safe way to bot? if not how would it be? please i would thank you so much if u could help me out here because im getting desperate about my account safety

I mean there is always a risk in botting, no matter what you do. Some things that will help you avoid getting caught:

-Only doing a few hours at a time, taking a few hour breaks, off and on
-changing up your profiles, or using super randomized ones
-USE NON PUBLIC PROFILES. Make your own and keep them private!
-Playing by hand time to time
-If multiple bots, using multiple IPs (cheap to do)
-Filter items/gold to a mule account that you don't bot at all with. This isn't necessarily to prevent from getting banned, it's more of a emergency surplus in case shit hits the fan. That way, you'll have money/items even though you lose your botnet. I don't typically do this myself since it's a bit tedious, but because of that i lost about $200 worth of gold across the 7 accounts I lost.

The biggest thing is though, don't bot an account you are afraid to lose. More than likely, it WILL happen eventually.

When are you going to rebuild? Tommorow? Next week? A month?

I'm just worried about starting again too soon and getting banned.

Today actually. Going to start with 3-5, then build up from there. :D

Probably overkill, but im going to change up some of my hardware ID's and get new proxies.

hi carguy,

first of all sorry for the loss of your accounts. I was wondering what u meant by using a unique Ip for each d3 you run.
Im not 100% sure but if you are running all your d3 windows on the same computer, how can you have a different IP for each diablo 3 without a VM. Maybe you meant clientID? Or maybe i just lack some knowledge, if so please teach me :)

thanks in advance

There are programs out there that let you run whatever process/.exe with their own IP address. I run all my d3's from the same comp, with no VM; i feel its a waste of resources and maintenance time. I can give you a link if you need. You also need to get some good DEDICATED (ie: not shared with people) stable proxies. These usually are about 1-2 dollars per, per month. I can give you a site for that as well if you need. There is a bit of setup involved, but once that's done there is very little extra you have to do outside of everyday botting.

sorry for your loss buddy... i have used your profile sarkoth for gf..

Thank you already for all those well said informations. Yes i am really interested in those programs to run process/.exe with their own IP adress & about those proxies. I can already imagine how it works with your answer. I'm just a VM/*** bottter , and until few i tho it was the max security setup ><

I don't want to make assumption in this forums but as i have some interesting thoughts about how blizzard is doind things, and i am sure you have yours, maybe we could discuss a little via pm/ts/mumble.

I'll check regurlarly looking for your answer ;)

Cya soon

I love this attitude! I got hit last night for 6/6 and today I have 6 more going a couple at 60 and the rest will be there soon, thankfully my local Target store had 6 in stock.

Bans are imminent and when they happen you get back on the cash cow and ride it.

I just bought 4 copies from 2 different walmarts, gonna return 2 of them and get 2 more as well. Will be back up by this weekend.

Dang, for the profit you can make from the game, no need to be shady with the store and returns. Walmart had nothing to do with your addiction to bot. How do you sleep at night O.o
