Did you connect that one through a tunnel also?
No I didnt connect it through a tunnel, used my home IP. My thinking was well, listing these stacks of auctions should be something wrong why should I hide? They still compromised the account and unbanned it, at first they said no, then I said well thats silly why can't I use the auction house? I paid for the game didnt I? Then they replied saying the account was compromised and to please supply an ID, unbanned 5 hours later. I dont know what goes on over there, I thought they'd see the registered mailing address matched the IP location but I guess not.
Logic: Where is a brand new vanilla going to get 50 stacks of ele from????????????? ...................................
Blizzard doesnt care if its from your bank alt or whatever. It really doesnt make any sense for 50 stacks of ele to be on a brand new vanilla. Pretty easy to pick out you are going to use the account for just selling, so they banned you rightly.
My logic is that using the auction house to sell shit should be fine, I know people that have legit undercutting vanilla's that sell a lot of things and transfer money back and forth, so its okay for them to do it? These undercutting accounts are all level 1, sure the materials I got were from a guild bank that the character had been in a week before touching anything, but I think its a bit silly to CLOSE an account for listing auctions.. at least wait until it's apparent I sell gold.. I mean cmon, that seems a bit ahead of the game, well we think you're a gold seller because you listed 50 auctions on a level 1 account but we're not going to wait and confirm that you are, we'll just ban you.
I've also always had the assumption 50 auctions was a normal amount, I've listed 400 and never been touched on an 85 account. And again, people have udnercutting vanilla accounts, legit people that play the AH for gold.. they use undercutting vanilla's to play the AH.. it exists, I know someone that has done it and was banned for it until he pointed out hey look I udnercut, this is my main account, same name, oh ok here's your unban, hasnt been banned since. Everything is guilty until proven innocent.
Besides, you've been stalked by bannings lately, given your recent postings, so they probably keep an eye on what you do at the moment. Maybe you should just stop doing 'illegal' things for a month or so...
Well I have been, you're right. I've been testing what they're watching given my ability to unban most of my accounts.. They definitely do keep on eye on me though, I logged onto an account lastnight and got it temporarily disabled in 15 minutes.
cant u understand they are on you ?
you just wont stop until you see police at your door
Thanks, I'm just trying to help figure out what they're paying more attention to lately so others can learn too. Sure I know they watch accounts after unbanning, but I've used some new ones too to test things out. If people don't like my posts then they dont need to reply to them, I guess I'll just stop supplying information on what I've done to get banned, and what I didnt do before getting banned.. fine with me. I've actually sold the accounts now too, and gotten new ones.
I also know you guys think everything is so black and white but it really isnt. Sure they might watch accounts after unbanning them, but I do have other accounts that have been banned while leveling, then got compromised and have gone 24 hours for last 2 weeks without being touched, so its not so black and white, I even use a tunnel on that and it hasnt been touched. It's definitely more sensitive to gathering professions, I'm not sure I can even say its anything to do with being banned previously or not as to whether or not it'll happen again, it just seems to be something with gathering profiles in hyjal and twilight highlands that will get you. I bet I could take a level 85 that I've been banned on for gathering, and then unbanned, stick it in an instancebuddy run for 24 hours and be just fine, or level a new toon on questing bot and be just fine.
From my experience, it's something with gathering, it starts there then the auctions obviously (after the vanilla) don't help either, and guild banks that were previously associated to farming (they seem to note this now) are sensitive to people taking gold out of it (read post around here guy got banned and then unbanned said to him you took gold out of a known farming guild bank).
Anywho, thats enough from me. I assumed ban reports were supposed to be a helpful and insightful forum, not one to attack people and insult their intelligence.
