Unable to validate game version comes about when the client version mismatches with the server version.
As said earlier in this thread, this only affects the 32 bit client. If you're able to run the 64 bit client, please select this as an option and you should be able to get into the game.

Of course this isn't possible for everyone. If you have to use the 32 bit client, we're looking into this now. It does seem to be happenning to anyone using the 32 bit client (I've reproduced it here) and I'll get back to you after I've tried some things to get it to work.

OK it does seem that nothing done to the actual client will allow access, unless you use the 64 bit client.
Again, here's details on how to switch to the between the 32 and 64 bit clients:

Not all of you will be able to do this, but those of you on 64 bit Operating Systems, please try this, you should be able to get into the game while we look into this.
I've forwarded this issue on for further investigation to our networking team/technicians, I'll get back to you as soon as we have more info.

Done exatly as you linked but on my game client i cant click the box its blacked out so how am i ment to get on?
In that case you'll be on a 32 bit operating system and won't be able to do so, sorry about this,
there's nothing we can suggest until we get this sorted.
