6.1 CPU Performance

We've also observed that the WoWclient is using an excessive amount of CPU, and producing low frame rates for what our boxes are capable (with no Honorbuddy involved). We hope there will be a hotfix to address this significant WoWclient performance issue.

Just a note of what I found when logging in after the latest patch:

My setting under graphics were, by default, bumped up to "Good," which included better shadows, improved textures, etc. A simple change of these settings fixed the increased CPU usage and lower FPS rates for me. Is it possible this was not noticed on your end with the testing? Is it possible that this default setting was missed with the 6.1 patch by The Buddy Team? Hopefully it's that simple!
