Re-writing and coding for new content is no fun at all. I understand this. I too am waiting for the HB update. While taking my morning shit, I thought about an idea. I'd like to know if it's feasible or just nonsense. When the great Blizz send a ninja patch thru it normally takes an hour or so to have HB "hook" back into the game. When there is major content released, it takes longer. Some of us, well prolly just me, use HB just for the combat routines. I don't use GB, BgB, or any of the other features, just the combat routines. Would it be possible just to make HB "hook" to wow so these features can be enabled soon after a patch so they can be used while the rest of the more serious coding is completed? Perhaps releasing the things that are not broken first. A priority list of sorts. I would love some feedback on my idea, or some other solutions to make our wait time a bit more bearable.

the best is to just wait until everything is done becuase they need to do much more work for just a handful of people

This same thing has been posted about 3 times today. Please learn to play without the bot and wait like the rest of us. If you know so little about your character, how do you know anything about the mechanics of the fights or basic things like if your character has a b-rez?

i also dont use anything but lazyraider or Tyrael with Hb an yeah i no the rotations for all my chars but i love the ease of use of the bot more an would love to see a bot from Hb that would only do the CR so that most of us could just get a simple update an move on

I don't think you understand what "hooking in" actually is. When there is a patch, HB doesn't work in order to ensure none of the offsets have changed. Offsets are basically "locations" for game data such as player HP/Energy, location, and basically anything else you can possibly think of. When these offsets change, the bot no longer has the correct locations of the game information and thus must be updated. Good luck using RaidBot if the bot doesn't know what class you are, how much mana you have, how many combo points you have on the target, etc.

Skeetss is right. Most of the offsets are found within 2 hours usually though.
The thing that requires most time of the "updating progress" is testing etc.
A lot of security stuff has to be checked etc, to make sure you won't get insta-banned.
So I think that safety is the biggest part of the updating process (At least in the minor updates).

EDIT: I see that I wrote both testing and safety stuff are the biggest parts. What I think I was trying to say, is that both things are very big (I guess). LOL.

an meshing an adding all the new bgs helps the ones that dont use the shit hmm give us a Simple Rotation bot an 65% of us will be happy

This isn't a bad idea, however, can you imagine the amount of QQing that would happen if you were to only implement the combat routines. The amount of people coming in here saying how "unfair" it is to have combat routines but not (insert bot here) working. I get where you're coming from, and I wouldn't be against it, but from a Dev point of view, it'll create havoc.
