42002, Blizzard and Bots

So i was having the problem of code "42002" like alot of us were having recently
Someone here opened a thread which was settled because there was an agreement that its a problem for alot of people in battle.net aswell which dont bot etc..

a while ago i heard someone say something interesting here, Im not sure who said it but this is his quote "this (DM) forum lurks with idiots"

and all those people with the problem are 500+ paragorn level accounts.

We've actually been talking about that in the support forum

While I think most of us are hoping its just a games/hour(s) throttle -
I fear it might be an early sign that your account has been flagged and is waiting for review.

And by review I mean someone takes a quick 5 minute look at your activity logs and makes a decision :x

I suppose its no harm in giving us a heads up anymore - its not like we can mule our loot :)
 
But then again. It should not matter if you show on battle.net forum you have the problem. If its an error aimed at botters. At the time you get the error, you should already be flagged. Showing it on the forum should not change much.

As long as the actual bot is undetected Blizzard cant do much. If they start to ban people making too many games/h, we would just decrease the time between games and eventually they would ban "real" people playing the game. That would be a lost battle for Blizzard, and they should know it. External hacks are the future.
 
If you were caught botting, youd be banned, you wont get some cryptic to catch a predator error

Exactly, it would be the most inefficient way to do it. Simply chucking your username into a .txt file is enough to flag you.
 
A quick search reveals that this error 42002 is very isolated, only a handful of posts on technical support forums. It might indeed be an error for extreme edge case where you have created too many games over a longer period of time. What I don't understand is why it would happen to everyone at the same time. Too bad that every efficient run is either three musketeers or chests.. :(
Just in case I'll be cutting my runs per hour by a lot until this gets resolved. If the account has been flagged it doesn't mean a certain ban, because heuristics do most of the flagging beside player reports. Only after GM reviews your account history that it is certain.

stop plz this stupid arguing....No tagging or bans are incoming...Whole this shit 42002 is about Telia.net(or i don't remember the name of main Blizz Europe provider) problems that are caused by DDoS attacks and I think May holiday's around nearly whole Europe...It's just an element to not give a single fuck about supporting game "THAT MUCH" during holidays and provider problems...Mentioned problems will be solved soon i hope and 42002 will disappear.
So plz close this thread and stop shittalking.

When you walk the line tinfoil usually wont do you any good

But when you do illegal things deeds - you might have Precaution needs
 
People actually think this error is a botting flag? Lordy.
 
I liked the connection of paragon 500 and botting.. Most of us had 500 before ROS even came out, thanks to manual COTA 6 running. Perfectly legit.

You realize paragon 100 pre-Ros x 5 is not 500 paragon level now?
 
my barb is running since ~50 hrs, 51,2 gph, ghom massakers. and its only 50 hrs because of maintenance, so no way this error is in any way related to too many GpH and/or activity time
 
I tried to replicate 42002 on a legit account last night - I left a macro that just resumed game -> waited 15 secs -> left game.

I couldn't trigger it after doing this for about 10hours~

Well that is a waste of 10 hours right there :p They have fixed the issue that caused the error

alittle over an hour after starting ghom profile - about 48/gph - error 42002

T_T definitely not fixed

I am about 90% sure at this point its account related
