Well, maybe the biggest argument is, that you are actually injecting software. So basically you are a hacker and I do understand Blizzard, that they are pissed off because of you
If you would be selling software to inject windows systems with keyloggers, you would run into trouble too...
Another argument / problem for blizzard will be the disadvantaged players without bots.
And please don't even try to argue with "we are not doing anything which couldn't be done by hand"... A hand needs to sit on the PC, the bot doesn't care!
I'm not using Demonbuddy but sometimes Honorbuddy. It would never have come to my mind buying a bot, if it wouldn't be so bad on the servers already. Everyone who is farming is in fact using a bot. Just idle an hour in Uldum and you will see what I'm talking about.
Btw... All this thread is for, is trying to not loose customer and therefore loosing your money. Also shows this "don't leave us you will get a extra session"
Honestly... WoW and I guess also D3 would be better without this bots...
It's a shame that you have to bot for still being able to compete with others on a game...
-edit-
However what needs to be said too:
If it wouldn't be Bossland, it would be someone else...
Stepping in for a second to correct some misconceptions (and just bad info) in your post here. Don't take it personally.
We don't inject anything into the game client. Ever. We call it "injection" simply because its the closest word that describes what we're doing. (Fact of the matter is, we're only writing to the game. We never load any extra modules, etc., which is what classifies "injection". So please understand the difference!)
The argument about "we are not doing anything which couldn't be done by hand" is a valid argument, and one that we've used as a response to Blizzard's claims that we do things regular players can't. (We don't. That's why that 10 second leave game timer is still there, even though its trivially easy to remove it. Among many other things that other bots/programs provide, that a normal user can't actually do.) We do not provide hacks, we do not provide cheats. We provide automation software that mimic's a normal gamer's... erm... gaming.
There have been studies about the impact of bots on MMOs (which D3 is not), and most (all?) have concluded that bots in fact have a very insignificant impact. (Yes, there are a few games out there where botting was left to run rampant, and absolutely destroyed some games, but that's not the case in games where the game developer actually tries to remove bots)
Your opinion on whether WoW/D3 would be better without bots, is just that. An opinion. In my opinion, bots have little to no impact on any game. However, hacks, cheats, dupes, exploits, etc, are what causes the bigger issues. The fact that some bots take advantage of it, is what causes it to be a "big no no", and get over hyped on how "bad they are for the game", even though the legitimate players using the same tactics, get absolutely zero "heat". If there is a huge gold inflation, you can be assured that its likely not because of bots, but instead either bad game design, or those few that found a really good way to make that gold (see; exploits, or "new" farming locations). The current inflation issue comes from the AH bug (which Blizzard denied, but has been proven), an item dupe (which has been proven) among the absolute lack of any gold sink whatsoever, and generally easy availability of acquiring gold.
This thread was one of transparency. In case you have not noticed, we don't hide things from our customers. We're very open about most things (obviously some things we can't talk about, either due to legal reasons, or security reasons), and we see no reason to keep customers in the dark. If you don't agree with that, that's perfectly fine. The doubling of sessions is just a way to give current customers something for being "loyal" customers. We're not forcing you to stay with us. You can request a refund if you'd like, and we won't even ask you why!
That said, its time for some sleep. G'night
