MANY people have been banned in the recent ban wave starting last night/this morning, they are now able to detect pirox bot for sure, and I've heard an arch bot, and a fishing bot. Is this just a general "hey we are *****ing down" or can they detect these bots now? Is honorbuddy safe or should we hold off on botting for a while?

if honorbuddy was affected, nobody would be able to log in, as tripwire would be tripped and no bots would log into the offset servers.

Please stop panicing everybody.

Pirox Arch bot was "detected"

Reason? Well it wasn't hard for blizz to detect it due to the way it worked.

Have Blizz updated Warden and now better at detecting bots?

NO

Pirox was just an easy target for them.

So no, you have nothing to worry about, and it's as "safe" as it's always been, well inless you used the Pirox arch bot :p

what does AUTOIT mean? an old way of bot design? or its a coding language?

It was putting the dig location into a private chat i belive.

So not hard for Blizz to detect (Would have just had to scan logs)

Pirox arch was relaying archeology information to the chat. Since it doesn't inject that was the best way they could find at the time to make it work.

Autoit is a basic scripting program that can be used for all kinds of things, including bots. It's not extremely good, or efficient. But it's a basic palce to start if you want to make hacks, bots and so on.

its not really effecting us at all, our software is fine, the only thing i notice right about now is the increase (more then normal) requests for refunds, and i suspect its just people getting scared. it happens, risk of getting banned just comes with the territory

Pirox was putting dig location into a private chat??? Damn, that sounds risky as hell...for a bot that prides itself on not injecting and being hard to detect, it seems like a dumb move.

Pirox was too afraid of using injections so they spammed random chat channels with coords xD

I mean noone had the idea that it might be bad to spam coords into chat? lol
