24 Hour Maintenance - WoW

We will be performing extended maintenance on the realms listed below on tuesday june 8th beginning at 12:01 am PDT. The maintenance is scheduled for 24hrs as we prepare for the upcoming expansion These realms will be playable again at approximately 12:01 AM PDT on wednesday , June 9th

tony doesnt see anything on eu but the intentions are to get all the servers
right now they are planning on doing the LA database center and moving to others


Supposed to be hardware updates

they did somthing similar when LK was on its way. A bit more Ram, bigger HDD maybe even a cpu upgrade.
 
Damn.. :( Thankfully I'm not on the listed ones, but I know I will be eventually -_-
 
On one hand I'm upset that I know I won't be able to play, but then on the other hand I realize it's a game and then I do a facepalm towards myself. xD
 
I hope they replace all my servers.
 
I hope they replace all the players on my servers, getting tired of this gearscore bullshit.
 
I get into raids with my 5.8k PvP Gearscore then just put my 4.9k pve gear on! PROFIT!
 
There is nothing wrong with GS. It is simply a means for people make a comparison of preparedness in a raid. Raids cannot be successful if people aren't prepared.

Do you really want someone in blues/greens showing up to an ICC raid? So Is it really that unreasonable to put a minimum GS requirement on raids?

Although people really should be using something Elitist Group to check out all the enchants/gems and what not as well.
 
My raiding gear's score is lower than the score I have with all the best items I have in my inventory. Just that those items don't really meet my hit-rating requirements. So it's a retarded way to check the stats of a player...

While it provides a 'baseline' to judge someone's preparedness, it is not the defining characteristic that you should be compared against on every single raid you wish to join. The problem is people asking for 5k GS to join raids like Ulduar or lower tier raids which you need to get the gear in the first place. This is commonplace now and they need to tweak it in Cata.
 
ive never had issues with gear score.. ive played with some 2800-4300 gear scored guys and they out dps some of the 6000 gear score guys.. currently as im starting out in hell scream alliance uses wow-heroes.com for a reference or half the gear score rank.

im 5873 on my lock and cant get in a icc on archimonde server died off and is only for guild runs... i dont kiss ass to do a raid.

Its not that GS doesn't give a completely accurate point of view of a player because its obvious that it doesn't, but it does give some method of comparison. How do you select whom you want to bring on a raid?

Are you about to go look up every player on the armory and inspect their gear/talents/ect? No you're going to use a method that if they meet the likelihood is that they at least have some raiding experience. You can't have a 5k+ gear score unless you've put some work into getting that gear. Perhaps you just ninja'd your way there or ran a bazillion heroics to get badges, but still the work had to be done. This means that you likely aren't a tard straight of the back of a truck who's sole purpose is to screw with your raid.

You know the rules of how to play the game, so play it like everyone else, or stand on the sidelines be a spectator. The other point is the raid leader doesn't need *YOU* specifically they need *ANY* qualified player. The raid will run with or without you so its up to you if you want to go along or not. If they have unrealistic expectations then they must get the people they need with those reqs or they don't and it doesn't go, but regardless its up to you to prove you are worthy for their run.
