24/7 Botting and safety

Because any gm that ever looks at your account and sees you playing 24/7 will know that without a doubt you are botting and ban you.

This is really the opinion of someone who doesnt know what they're talking about, sorry to say but why did I get my WoW acc back that botted for months 24/7 by sending ID?
It wouldn't be hard to check who was online for 90% last week and was in uldum or creating 100's of games a day, but they simply dont do that at blizzard..

Threads like these don't really give any sort of helpful info at all. Several different people just post their personal experiences and theories.

The fact is that nobody knows.

It may just be down to luck. Someone could bot 24hrs a day for weeks and not get banned whereas another could bot for 5hours and get banned. Nobody really knows what the chance of getting banned but using something called a brain, one could come to the sensible conclusion that the longer you bot for, the higher the chance is that someone/something will catch you and you will be banned. Other than that, I don't know of any huge compilation of data from thousands of banned accounts including the time they played per day so I could not even attempt to determine what the real chance of being banned is.

Thanks for your time ;)

I honestly am clueless about this, but wouldn't they spend their anti-botting energies trying to break open the bots themselves, so they can ban thousands at once? Seems like a gm sifting through accounts one at a time wouldn't be effective. Also, I have a couple buddies that have their accounts up 24/7, with different roommates taking turns, and they just split their earned winnings. I realize this is a minority, but they are out there, and Blizz can't go banning those guys unless they are sure. Please feel free to enlighten me if my thinking is off here.

^ this.
On WoW, they rely on player reports. Then, and only then, do they run their scripts and/or check on you.
Who's gonna report you in a single player game?

See it wouldn't be that hard for blizzard to check how much players are online or how many games they create but for whatever reason they don't. How much you bot has nothing to do with bans as blizzard currently operates.

So you got banned for botting 24/7 then you said you got hacked and they unbanned you, thinking it was the hacker botting not you. Throughout all this Blizz knew 100% that the account was being botted on. Which is what I am saying, if you bot 24/7 it's pretty obvious that you're botting. Use your common sense or have a look in the ban section for wow and see all the people qqing about botting for 20 hours and getting banned.

Diablo isn't WoW though. If you bot 24/7 on WoW, people are gonna notice you, and report you. Then, and only then, will they run their scripts and/or check on you.
Who's gonna report you on Diablo?

EDIT: BTW, I used to have 2 accounts botting Vashj'ir 24/7 for months (one in Abyssal Depths and one in Shimmering Expanse). Never got banned.
I'd do /who and hardly ever find anyone else. I only started seeing people there when there was mass panic about Uldum a few months ago.
Once Raphus re-did flightor I quit farming altogether cuz it sucks now.

The key is low profile.

Yeah, agreed, it's definitely a lot more risky with wow because of the human factor. With D3, we will just have to see if Blizz bothers checking play behaviour when they review accounts that sell on RMAH. But then again, all they would have to do was run a script that flagged all accounts that are online for more than X amount of time a day. We know that they CAN do it, just a question of whether they WILL.

So whats the problem if u can get ur account back with that excuse? You're changing my argument but I still see 0 reason not to bot 24/7

Cause it will only work once. If you care about the account, only bot realistically, if someone is too stupid to understand basic logic, I suggest they read the ban area and follow the advice of 1000s of other botters.

Now, this I can see happening. I wouldn't put anything on the RMAH from my botting accounts, just in case.
I wouldn't be surprised if you put 20m gold and then they decided to check in on you.

I've read plenty of the ban area but still I'm sorry, I woke up every morning on WoW with whispers on my 3 accs saying REPORTEDASOJAWE and i kept at it 24/7 I just have 0 reason to believe its about how much u bot its 100% luck imo but I guess it's a matter of what u like to believe banned u...
