Now for the more detailed info:
I have or had 6 accounts, 1 main, 1 mule, 2 gold farmers, and 2 new accounts. The accounts that were banned were the 2 new accounts. I bought the 2 new accounts to have as backups only for when my other 2 gold farmer bots get banned. I basically was lvling up the 2 new accounts just to get to 60 and then I was going to park them and wait for my ban as I know it will eventually happen, this way I could start botting again asap after I receive my bans.
I have 3 pc?s, one pc is for my 2 gold farming bot accounts, my second (main) pc is used just to log into my main and mule accounts only, and my 3rd pc was used to lvl up the 2 new accounts which were banned. I have a dynamic IP, I was not using VMware or ISBoxer.
My 2 new accounts that were banned were banned at exactly 3:09pm Central Time (which is 1:09pm PMT Blizzard Time) 07-20-12. Both accounts I started botting /lvling at the same time and had reached lvl 55 (using a HB ZK quest script) with a total of 39hrs play time and 2 million gold collected.
Now here?s the interesting thing about this situation. While I was botting on my 2 new accounts the ones that were banned. I was also botting on my other 2 gold farming bots which so far have not been banned (fingers x). So what this tells me is first they caught my other 2 new accounts using a filter to catch people botting on ZK runs which is pretty widely known by Blizzard. My 2 gold farming bots are using a custom script that I wrote for HB (I?m not going to give info on where I farm with this script because I know Blizzard reads these forums, so sorry guys) but I believe the reason I wasn?t banned on my 2 gold farming bots is because they don?t have a filter to catch it. However, what does surprise me is the fact that they didn?t do an IP check. If they would have done an IP check they would have been able to see that there were 2 other D3 accounts online and they could have taken the extra 2min step by checking those 2 accounts to see what exactly they were doing but I know for a fact they did not because they are not *yet* banned.
As it stands right now my Main, Mule, and 2 gold farming bots are safe and have not been banned *yet*. TBH, I had already decided to take a break from botting after this Sunday till Blizzard calms down with the Ban Hammer. I still plan to bot but my only real concern is losing my Main and Mule accounts. This week I read a ton of posts that a lot of players Main accounts were also banned that had never used a bot.
About a week ago I spoke to a Bliz rep and I asked them if I could be banned for trading items or gold from another player that had been using bots/hacks/exploits. The rep said,?NO? as long as you are not exploiting with that other player and all you do is trade then you are fine. Well given the facts of recent events this week I now know that Blizzard is full of shit because as I said there have been a ton of posts on the Demonbuddy, Hellbuddy, and Ownedcore websites, of players losing their unbotted Main accounts.
Why I bot. I bot because I hate that Blizzard makes games into a GRIND HOUSE. I hate grinding for hours & hours, weeks & weeks, and months & months just to get no where within a game. I do not bot to sell items or gold. I bot to gear my main account so I can progress within a reasonable amount of time. I know eventually I will get bored of the game and quit but if I couldn?t bot to make gold in order to buy decent gear to progress I would have already quit D3 probably within the first month and demanded my money back.
Now for more funny news. For anyone that really knows me, they know that I hate Blizzard with a passion a lot of this has to do with what they have done with WOW and now D3. So, with that in mind I do not lose any sleep from screwing Blizzard over, therefore I have lost no money from my bans as I purchase my D3 games from various stores, I collect and activate the key accounts and then I return them for an exchange to get more, thus giving me free D3 accounts which Blizzard can continue to try to ban, I really don?t care. And Blizzard if you are reading this, all I have to say to you is, ?FUCK YOU, FUCK OFF AND DIE YOU PIECE OF SHIT COMPANY?.
Anyways, if anything changes with my other accounts I will update this post. Now I?m off to return my recently bought D3 keys to get new ones and start botting again as I know they don?t ban on the weekends, maybe I?ll get lucky and get my 2 60s done and parked.
