This has been going on for ages as some people view it as getting rid of the competition.
 
Lost one of my farmers today too.
I also had such a day last year when 10 accounts were closed on the same day
 
Who knew botting had a risk of being banned.

If you're going to bot on a large scale, take proper precautions. Otherwise, you have nobody to blame but yourself.
 
big problem is that people use the public profiles...make your own profile, use odd routes, if you use public profile or the same route that the addon routes makes for you then every bot on hb using gb2 with the same public profile you end up with a bot train following one another for hours on end taking turns getting nodes passing back and forth like a nascar race that never ends. your farming may not be as effecient but with a different profile you won't look like the 10 other people in your zone at the same time. I'm on a medium pop server and there's at least 8 85's in all of the cata zones. that's a lot of people doing the same thing...why else would an 85 be in vash jr.?? like it was said before. most ban's are from your own stupidity

This exactly. You can bot 24/7 with multiple accounts, but using public routes? Ha gl. Make your own. I made a really good one that took me about 20 minutes to make, and actually gets MORE than the public routes available. I've only gotten bans for gold selling, never for botting. And I bot 24/7 as much as possible. Just learn how to be responsible... Seriously guys.

Here is an experimental suggestion to maybe make a GM smile (in case he is not having a bad day)
- You haven't lost your smile at all, it's right under your nose. You just forgot it was there.

And here are some nice quotes for the botters reporting others :
- Everything is funny as long as it is happening to somebody else.
- People who fight fire with fire usually end up with ashes.
- You can only be young once. But you can always be immature.
- You grow up the day you have your first real laugh - at yourself.
 
6/8 accounts hit also, harsh times, not like it matters anyway seeing as gold price is incredibly poor.
Ironically though I never sold any gold on those accounts :p

Yes i lolled. Observe he said 15 accounts! I dont even want to know how many chars he boted at once. Asking for a ban? well kinda :confused:

anyway, i asked codname to open this thread so i can let ppl know i got back 7 accounts from 15, 6 are perma banned and 1 is now undergoing a fake ID :D
