So D3 just got patched on 10/1/13. I'm wondering about how long I should wait to see if the patch triggers a ban wave and/or if DB needs to patch because of it. Any ideas?

What Patch? There was no patch at all on 10/1/13. Take your tinfoil hat off. Patches have nothing to do with ban waves. Maintenance on the servers has nothing to do with Ban waves. You will get caught when you get caught.

DB doesn't need to patch since there wasn't one.
 
I had an account that got caught in the great ban wave of 2012. It happened after a short maintenance. I'd rather just wait and see if people post here saying they got banned right after the maintenance. Sorry I called it a patch, it was just server maintenance.

I guess I can just wait for another day or so before starting up again.

What exactly do you think waiting is going to do? Magically make the bot fairy visit your system and bless your D3?

maintenance has zero to do with banwaves. They flag accounts AT ANY TIME. They just gather them up and review some during maintenance. They dont do anything special to catch you during that time. Idiotic people that think like this are usually the first to get banned because they think voodoo will save them instead of intelligent botting.

TINFOIL HAT MODE: OFF.
 
I start my bots up again as soon as I wake up on patch days and my accounts are closing in on 4k hours played, botting 24/7 with some breaks since December 2012

Sorry, I meant on maintance days.
 
I am getting a connection lost after less than a few minutes using Demonbuddy. Keeping DB stopped I can play Diablo 3. With DB on I get disconnected within one minute. Yesterday there was a North American maintenance day where the server was offline.

Edit: I updated Trinity to 1.7.3.7 and I haven't been disconnected yet. Five minutes so far and no problems.
