Then a lot of crashing as I was experimenting with something.

If you crash a lot Trion will certainly ban you. This goes out to legit players too.

Be very careful when testing experimental code, running VMs, testing an overclock, playing during a thunderstorm, letting your cat near your power strip, etc.

I created an account with a fresh IP, launched with GLYPH, created a character, then logged out at the starting point within 3 minutes of getting in game. Couldn't be bothered to do anything with it at this point so I left it until the next day. 24 hours later? Banned. Didn't touch AB, didn't bot in any way, didn't even MOVE.

I considered sending a ban appeal email just because of how silly it was.

Questions you need to ask your self, did you create a fake account? change your mac adress/HWID? IP private? Did you do a clean install of Archeage? Delete cookies in your browser?

It is most likely bad timing using the questing plugin I would say, I was going strong until I used questing plugin plus searching for land with Radar, then banned after update but they really got us thinking I do give Trion that, just create multiple accounts different IP's etc, keep your main account clean, use one account only for questing, only one account using land grabber plugin, only one account that uses Radar to pin point what may be flagging us!

Wouldn't you just love to be a GM who likes to bot and ban those fucks, who accuse you of being a bot because you don't talk.

Not a flagged IP or PC - I have multiple accounts still active logging in from the same IP. What I meant by 'fresh' was um, safe?

Brand new email address with a non-phony looking name. Set up Trion account via non-banned proxy IP in a Firefox Private Browsing window. Logged in game by legit means and didn't do anything weird at all.

Just some overzealous GM I imagine.

No, your case is a flag script auto ban... Something like you created this account and toon with too short delay to prev one from same IP. Better contact Live Chat... Live Chat most likely unbanning all the auto script flag bans.
