[1.7.1.6] Bugs Compendium

1.7.1.7 performance when navigating is as it was in 1.7.1.4 but the intown routine is still very buggy. Identifying the items lags a lot.

1.7.1.7 Bug: Gold Per Hour increments each time an item is ID'd, thus inflating the true GPH.

bot always clicking again and again on the empty shrine he already used before, if he repeat the way after resurrection or smthing else. its old bug. fix it if its possible. ty

how about this? we need the solution to avoid this lil waste of time

bot anyway trying to attack pinata from invalid range, and dont open it at all

most attack angles are bugged for pinata

PLS FIX it

Trinity Loot Pickup Configuration
http://www.thebuddyforum.com/demonbu...ing-loots.html
Problem: Item level selection in the GUI is bugged or broken in the config. Bot doesn't loot any armor below i61 and weapon below i62.

this is even more important than the performence issue. The bot is skipping most loot.
seems some of you still dont know that itemaffixes have nothing to do with ilvl.

Added Pinata, Gold stack, Item Identification and GPH issues to main post. Thanks for the contributions guys

Actually I did not notice this ... was picking everything that was supposed to - armor 58 and weapons 61.

i just observed strange thins - my barb... he didn't want to use potion and die. I will chek this on other profiles

Uh, i would appreciate if we DIDN'T add anything from !sp's mod into this post. "My" 1.7.1.7 is different from his - his code is really based of 1.7.1.6, before I added the performance fixes. And Mine still uses the built-in item identification and the old style gold pickup.

Thanks.

So which version of Trinity is now viable with the less bugs possible? Which version is stable? I'm still using Unified GilesTrinity 0.45... it is working good more or less..

but issue with pinata still in your version

this
plus.
bot refuses to use HOTA on elites.

why the feg i need to fix manualy every single version you release to make it useable?
If you were smart, you'd realize that 7.1.5 - 7.1.7 are all still buggy. 7.1.4 is working just fine for me and a lot of people. You don't need the extra bells and whistles.

for me 1.7.1.2 works even better

I used 0.44 long time , then 1.7.1.4 till now.
1.5 and 1.6 were pretty crap performance overall for me . really bad (monk main)

1.7.1.7 started baddish (not sp's one) first seconds were really heavy don't know why... usually it starts smooth , but then it sorta woke up and now he's rocking all the profile without errors whatsoever.

I'd say I even noticed a performance improvement at some moments (small moments of less laggish movement ...don't know how to explain it better).
My sincere opinion is 1.7.1.7 is good , but you should really take a moment without new features and spend the next days
working on performances and smart behaviour of the main stuff.
I know for sure Giles spent lot of time (at least he said) on performance improvements , less memory usage and stuff like this , and that is one of the reason i still keep 0.44 in a folder for cataclysmic events :)
Regards, btw i'm now using 1.7.1.7... so good work and big thanks.

Edit : The Item Swapper is trying to swap my skorn but fail... i have not set the option on so i dont know why.
Code:
[22:06:32.944 N] [Trinity][Swapper] Unable to swap - there is no weapon in the top left corner.

I pretty much spend all of my time trying to fix things other people break, like performance, gold pickup, or refactoring the code to be more readable and understandable. I rarely add new features myself - those typically come from forum/community members, for example Tesslerc's monk stuff (which is the cause of your error, and the main cause of the monk performance problems). One of the hardest things about this project is that if you tweak 1 thing, it has the chance of breaking something for some specific profile/plugin/class/build that maybe only a few people use (and those people get noisy!).

The Demonbuddy API quite sizable and it's often hard to understand the implications of using various API functions.
Trinity itself is a massive pile of spaghetti code, which can be intimidating and confusing for someone trying to add new features who hasn't already spent many days and nights studying both.

Since we've heavily refactored the project and made it available via git, it's pretty easy for new developers just opening the code to add some cool new bell or whistle while at the same time break something they know nothing about. While I try and test every new feature, there's no possible way I can do this as throughly as each person running their own profiles, plugins, reloggers, ISBoxer/VMware configurations, on their own hardware, laptops, graphics cards, operating systems, etc.

cheers,

rrrix

I just noticed in stonefort he tries to open Iron Gate in the scenery too :P (just for some seconds tho)

rrix sorry if i didnt make my intentions clear , it wasnt an attack or an offence to you , i just wanted to give my view of what's working and what's not.
I can only imagine the mess, and would love to get rid of all those features and revert to old trinity where people would release they mods and we all were happy.
Most of all then, isnt the reason behind dividing all the code the purpose of having different mods without having to deal with "core" issues ? i mean if someone release a monk plugin , and "somebody" but not "all" use it , why make it "core" and not an additional cs with his specific thread ?
Anyway, sorry if you took it as i wasnt ungrateful or anything.
Keep up the good work.

I think people don't give rrrix enough credit. He's the main developer on this project now and is taking over someone else's code base and trying to make it the best it can be with what he's got to work with.

There will be growing pains for a bit as he tries to refactor the code into something easier for all the new developers to work with here so they can eventually get to adding features one day; but performance comes first of course. I'm not saying Giles was a bad programmer or anything because I don't know the guy nor his coding skills, but it seems clear that his code (or any code for that matter) can always use improvement to make it easier for others to work on. Based on some of what I've read on the forums, Giles could have done a better job at breaking things down into less gigantic files with more modular code. With that said, I'm glad we had Giles and rrrix at all or else Trinity wouldn't be nearly where it is today so be thankful for what you have here.

So report problems, test out new versions to help out the devs, and wait for a fix. Not much else we can do beyond that unless you want to take over the project yourself (it's open source) and spend your own time making it better.
