[1.7.1.6] Bugs Compendium

i concur with the gold not-pickup bug.
i must say 1716 is much better than 1714 1713., 1714 has lots of idle time do-nothing-time by the bot.

also in 1716, bot stutters if there is gold behind a wall. undecided how to get it
 
also, sadly, 1716 still doesnt solve TOWER OF THE CURSED. stuck in stairs if there is a shrine to the west. we still need to uncheck CLICK SHRINE

Please remind me again of which profile this happens in? I'll give it a test.
 
Since there is no common thread for the unified trinity(at least i think there isn't as the last one is closed), i will post my idea here. I was thinking, is it possible to implement logic that will print our separate log with ONLY the drop that has been kept during each session. This will be really convenient in case you wouldn't like to pause constantly to check for drops.
Also a thread for suggestions and ideas would be a good thing. Especially a sticky one ;P cheers
There's stash log for what you kept, you can just refer there without pause the bot.

Suggestion, request:
Auto-add gems on sockets while lvling up based on class.

DexVit / IntVit / StrVit.
This is bad idea. I don't think it's necessary. Dev should have more time for essential improvement but not this.

Been running tower of the cursed level 1 and 2 for the last 3 hours on 4 bots, full range on shrines, no stucks.

Where, exactly is this happening?
 
As mentioned in the first post, check "Enable combat". It should solve the stuttering.



If it's the Damned Heart, I did a workaround by removing BigRed_DamnedHeartB.xml from my Start_here profile. It solved the only stuck issue on the stairs for me.

check ENABLE COMBAT LOOTING in DB sir? its already checked when i experienced the bug. this is not some random stutter im talking about sir. just some indecision if some gold lies behind the keep depth wall.

--also. WHAT DAMNED HEART? as i said. its stairs in TOWER OF THE CURSED near portal

-lost great gold pack sometimes
- I.A and skill priority for DH just bad... (useless vault utilisation spam in combat, ``left and right again and again `` and not hit)
-a lot of way back with grind segmenting reseting

that list can be long:)

waypoint portal to tower of cursed 1,. immediately to your right there is a stairs going up to ARREAT 2
the stuck happens if, when going up the stairs, there is a shrine at the elevated level at the West side of the stairs.

Here is a 20 second video demonstrating the bug. The bot is selling at the vendor from being full and eventually gets stuck in this endless potion loop and freezes. I have max potions (99) when this happens. Obviously 100 is the normal max in the settings, but the bot likes to stop at 99.

This bug doesn't happen every time I vendor, but it eventually happens every few hours for me. Using Trinity 1.7.1.6 with the Trinity Routine. Did not happen previously in 1.7.0.12.

Not even inactivity timers can save me from this infinite loop :P

UPDATE: Verified this has happened on a secondary class as well, so its not class specific. It eventually locked up the D3 client and I had to forcefully shut D3 down.

I've also made rrrix aware of the DH vaulting issues in combat. He's just got bigger fish to fry right now with sorting out the major bugs. I'm sure once that is taken care of, DH's can get some more love. The issue stands out like a sore thumb when you are wearing legacy nat set because your disc lasts for so long. You watch your character do about 10 vaults before dying as he vaults in circles in piles of packs without attacking.

I'll try and catch a video of this some time if I can get a decent app to do it with. Something I can fire up in a moments notice and start recording when it happens.

Because you did not have a Demon Hunter issue section, I'd like to just mention a few that you can add to your post. Please other Demon Hunters verify to prove the legitimacy of these bugs/annoyances you have experienced. I've mentioned some of these to rrrix already, but they could use an official home here.

Demon Hunter Issues

Problem: Demon Hunter continues to over vault until you run out of discipline in combat and dies. Very bad when the radius of monsters is within a triangle equal to the distance of each vault in all directions; at which point, you don't attack at all and just are vaulting around until you die or break the chain.
Partial Relief (not a solution): I've found lowering the kite range helps a little to get a few more shots in for the kill and reduce vaulting occurrences. However, its subjective based on your DPS and if you can take out monsters before they take out you. I wouldn't recommend going much lower than 4 or 5 as that's within most monsters pounding you in the face.

Recommendation: Scooting and shooting more. Also balance out vaulting with running some. Vaulting delay is great when going from A to B, but in combat it can be lethal. Favor vaulting to previous walked areas so you don't vault into molten trails if possible. When disc is lower, favor running from danger like other classes unless you can vault to a near by health globe witin vault's maximum distance. If using gloom, try a few fire off shots and see if life improves, With each vault try taking a shot or two after weighing the situation, then vault again if needed. If your vaulting more than 3 times before firing, its probably a bad idea to continue to vault, so maybe temporarily reduce or stop the kite range activating another vault in certain points of the vault chains so a few shots can be made.​

Problem: Demon Hunter will over-vault while waiting for a Molten Core to expire (or any enemy skill that takes awhile to expire). Rather than attempting to run up to the core, the DH simply vaults forward and back over and over again until its clear or runs out of discipline. Sometimes it will vault into the core on accident and die (rarely if you have a higher radius distance set than the default).

Problem: Demon Hunter will vault towards a health globe that is sitting under the elite its firing at simply to vault away again resulting in over use of disc and a higher chance of dying. Will also over vault to get several globes to heal until disc is depleted making DH vulnerable.

Recommendation: Favor health globes that are closest to the DH but avoid vaulting towards the elite pack its firing at if that is the closet globe. If several globes are close and within proximity to one another, favor those and get back to attacking sooner. Choose running over vaulting if the globe is within say 75% of the vault's maximum distance and/or disc is low. If using and under gloom, use that as an alternative to globes occasionally. Once two or three globes are grabbed, stop vaulting as much to give those globes time to work and try firing a few shots and/or activate gloom and fire. More scoot and shoot behavior.

Problem: Demon Hunter mostly ignores Blazing Ghouls and minions that spawn from shamans and will very rarely attack them. Mostly noticeable in Towers of the Damned. This many not be class specific.

Problem: DH fails to avoid demon mines and will stand on them and take the punishment. Likely not class specific. May be DB at fault here.

As you see most of the issues are vault related, so if you don't use vault you probably don't see a ton of these issues. However, I think for speed farming its wise to use vault (especially with legacy nat set) and so I hope this gets some love some day.

Since some idea suggestions are getting thrown around, I think it would be pretty neat if resplendent chests had a kamikaze-type option for them like treasure goblins, I never seem to open them unless I get super close as I assume it uses the same radius as normal interactables.
 
Hey Guys, I would suggest we keep feature requests to a different thread (if someone would like to start one up and administer, that would be helpful). I'd like to see this thread stick to bugs so the dev's can keep up and the thread doesn't get out of control. That doesn't help anyone.

Lcyorr, I'm actually writing some profiles for random dungeons where some chests aren't in trinity and so it skips them. Are you seeing these missed chests in odd areas or common botted maps? The only chests I miss are the ones not in trinity. Next time you miss a chest, walk right up to it and get the SNO of it (Info Tab on DB, dump RActors). You can PM me the whole thing if you want. Try increasing your chest/container radius as well in trinity config.
 
Updated with addiktion's Demon Hunter issues. The demon mine issue is range class specific, or at least it affects range classes more than melee as I've noticed it on my Wiz and DH as well.

I'm going to attempt a couple things to see if I can find a temp solution. I will release the Potion Cap and see if it doesn't get stuck in this loop. If that doesn't do the trick, I will Ignore All potions and see if that works as well.
