1/2 banned yesterday

to clarify a few things:

Yes, I agree with your points. Some people just don't understand that not all of us can supervise the bot all the time.

- i am too old to see the funny side when i read postings like "selling your body for butt secks" "wtf lol" and such. no offense - if its ok for you... but i would prefer to talk about PoE and Botting.

That might be too much to ask from certain users...
I'd just ignore them.

Dude i live in Bulgaria here minimum wage is 200 euro(1 of my bots is making around that much per month)...I bought a rig for 2k usd payed it out in 1.5 months botting poe

Apparently I'm just not good enough to keep up with new GGG tricks.
It worked for me as well before, but now it goes like this - i trade orbs/items between bots = ban, I set up forum shop = ban. I've lost all my old accounts plus almost all new ones. Can't find VPN provider that is reliable enough.

It was profitable some time ago, now it's just a waste of time. I'm glad it works out for you though.
But I hope that you realize that it cannot be a long term plan. That is, you can't rely on this as your only source of income, it's just too volatile, because you just can't control certain things. Like Blizzard closing RMAH in D3 or something like that. Relying on botting might be not the best idea.

NHK i7 5820,32 gb ddr 4 ram 2133,some shitty 2gb video card,2x 240gb ssd rest is not so important. As for those unexpected disconnections i never had them with my vmwares, its something from you.Was running with 6 poe bots for close to 2 months ,my vpn provider fucked up something with the servers and half my accounts got locked due to ip change few days later=banned(those half of the accounts)Now im with 4.

what i didn't understand at this point:

is a GPU even a benefit if you only run VM's?

my PoE is running way smoother on my host. And i don't know which GPU would be a good deal, which one are you using? Can you check? ;)

and you found a public VPN provider with unique, CLEAN IP's ? without linux/openvpn installation?

i think it is hd6950 i use manual setup about vpns no programs and shit.GPU isnt big factor about botting poe when you make the game look like minecraft. With my rig i think i can handle max 12 bots from observing how much resources it was taking with 6

You need a gpu in any cases, built-in chipset from cpu don't handle it. Except if you manage to disable the 3D rendering... lol

It's running fine on your host because it's not a shared rendering... a VM isn't a computer, it's a second brain in the body. anything from HD45xx to HD6xxx from AMD is enough i guess, to run 3+ vms per rig. Mine is a HD5750 VX and it's running fine.

Avoid massives/public ones, and avoid using openvpn, even if it's easy to use it's far from stable.

well, in 3? months of using OpenVPN on my chosen VPS i didn't have a single disconnect.
I started my VMs like 100 times (openvpn auto connect task) and the connection was always up and running.

so if you talk about stability i guess you mean the latency? because THIS is a serious problem for me, these nasty lag/fps spikes...

i'll try Gigabyte GV-N730D5-2GI and a 27" Samsung S27D390H H/V soon. (because my screen is really old/small)
let's see if it gets better...

dont buy Gigabyte i have bad experience with those, anything but gygabyte

Latency is caused by openvpn.

in my opinion a lot of guys which runs VM's gotten banned because of the running processes in VM. You can hide such processes and make it a bit "safer" another way of banning are those VPN-blacklists. only a few guys playing normally with a VPN - so this is one indication for a ban.

MSI GeForce GTX 750 TI OC Version 2048MB GDDR5 128
is better?

one thing i like to mention:

PoE start screen causes strange GPU sounds... it has to do with the rain. Stops when i login.

maybe indicates that i should try another GPU.... ;)
