JUST Got banned while supervising the entire time, diablo3 shuts off on my second monitor... I noticed with the corner of my eye and when I tried to log back in, I was BANNED!

1)Were you using DemonBuddy on the account at the same time the ban/suspension occurred? (Kicked offline due to being Banned)
Yes

2)If not, when was the last time?:

3)If using a public profile please name it here:
AGB Loader Demonhunter Per Excellence

4)What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname:
AGB Loader Demonhunter Per Excellence

5)What plugins are you using?:
Profiler Restarter
AGB.Loader

6)How many hours per day did you bot for?:
From night when I go to sleep until the morning. Then from evening for a couple of hours so.... 12 hours or so.

6.5)What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot?
Almost 100% during the day. At night 0% of course.

7)How many auctions per day did you have?:
10 but these were on before I had DB since I'm new to DB.

7.5) Did you use the Real Money Auction House (RMAH)?
Nope.

8)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, Mods, or Exploits?
Nope.

9)Was your account involved in gold selling?
Nope.

10)What server region where you connected to (The Americas, Europe or Asia)?
US.

I think I know why I got banned. My friend just got 2 of his accounts banned aswell. I think blizzard employees regulate how many hours you play, and consider how much "gold on pickup" you have.

I went from 12mil gold pickup to about 70 mil gold pickup in the span of 6 days. My bot ran at like 800k gold per hour, that's how I got it that high.

A friend of mine has been botting since DB came out, but he didn't bot as much. He got to around 152 mil gold pickup.

I think blizzard employees check how much gold you pickup in whatever amount of time you've spent playing. That's how they're checking, so be careful everyone. I know what to do with my second account now though.

Just felt the need to post so others dont think this is true. My DH that i've had since day 1 with 250m picked up would have to play at least 16 hours a day since the release of diablo 3. If that isn't a flag for a ban idk what is.

He is safe and my monk with 25m picked up was banned. It's all about Sarkoth/Core and how long you do it for and if you get flagged. NOTHING ELSE

I safer estimate would probably be monsters killed and amount of gold. If you keep doing sarkoth that number rises to doubtful amounts like 1k gold per monster killed. Doesn't explain core of arreat but it would be something to check.

So you're still not banned yet? How many hours do you have on your demon hunter? Total?

Ultimately, I have to agree with this. I just had a DH banned today with almost 200mil pickup while i was afk. My other 2 bots running were still up to my surprise, and have not been banned...YET. Mind you that the banned account was a DH running AGB sarkoth and I had all my friends on there. I just created a new account to transfer over everything (pheww just in time) and hope that this account stays safe as long as possible. It's possible someone reported me for something random. Wouldn't someone be suspicious if you saw someone constantly creating games?? I cannot stress enough how upset I am, however tomorrow I'm going to have a talk with Blizzard as well as my credit card company. Maybe I can pass it off that my account got hacked :p

This most likely isn't the case either. I just lost 2 of my barbs - they weren't even 60 yet.

its not too hard to differenciate a botting account and a non botting account.. if you gave me a list of 100 accounts and i looked into it.. i can probably tell with 85%+ accuracy which are botting and which isnt. its probably not that demonbuddy is detected.. or amount of gold picked up/monsters killed etc etc because there are accounts with ridiculous amounts of gold picked up that arent banned or accounts that are fresh that are banned. Every 'banwave' or 'ban day' they probably look through a list of accounts and manually investigate then give u the ban. they for sure dont have an automated statistics detector that flags accounts because then all accounts with 100mill+ gold picked up would get banned.

I believe this is a method for 'older' botting accounts. Picked up is pretty meaningless, you could just play with a lot of goldfind no problem, however the gold per mob ratio will gravitate towards 1k+ the longer you bot exclusively sarkoth. It is a number I will keep in check in the future even if that means hanging half a day in act 3 rising my mob count.

For the guy above me, so between those million of accounts you think they just randomly peek into a couple of them and catch over 100 people per day? Remember DB is not the only bot. A team of 12 people ( in total and for sure not even half are checking out accounts ), so yeah there is data analyzing going on and 85% accuracy is not what they want, they try 100%, but obviously there is always a margin of error.

Someone without a job has good reasons to do such sarkoth runs by hand to earn a bit on the side of unlikely to be detected cashflow. That is not getting you banned, because it is simply too inaccurate. They have found something we didn't think of yet. We will in time though.

I just got an email saying I used a 3rd party program, which I think they're bluffing since they can't detect demonbuddy, or else EVERYONE would've gotten banned.

I'm pretty sure it's just a bluff. And they determine if you're "botting" by your pickup, and # of monsters killed, in however many hours.

I'm fairly sure this is certain. Alright time to set up a new 60 demon hunter on my secondary, and start botting again haha. Good luck to everyone!

My DH was just banned tonight. 450+ Hours botted 180m+ picked up. Been botting almost 24/7 besides maintenance, power outages, etc.
Friend was just banned as well at the same time. (Both received emails at 9:42pm) He had about 1/4 the time and gold picked up as I.

According to the ban emails blizzard sent out, they said in a part that "multiple" detections or violations etc however you want to put it were made. Which lead me to believe that this wasn't something they just decided to do, they easily had been monitoring accounts for probably up to a week or more prior to this making sure activity was continuous before leading to bans. A massive ban wave like this is something blizzard does NOT do anymore unless they are 99% sure a 3rd party program or bot etc was being ran and it wasn't a person or persons. So whether it was detection via warden(and bans held off til multiple verifications by either warden and some pattern recognition who knows) was all put together then accounts decided.

Wonder where that trex guy is... wonder if he's banned or not. Because judging from him not messaging anymore, he probably got banned too.

I lost 2 monks today 7-20-12 at 3pm CTZ. Both were botting ZK, had reached lvl 55 and had 2 mil gold picked up. While those 2 accounts were botting, I also had 2 other accounts botting and so far they are untouched (fingers x). My untouched bots have about 150mil gold picked up on both accounts and bot 24/7 and have been for about a good month. I find it really strange that I bought 2 new accounts on the 17th started to bot lvl them and bam they get hit with the Ban Hammer, thats only 3 days. I'm happy that I didnt loose my main 2 bot accounts but I do find it really strange that they didnt get wacked at or near the same time. They are all running off the same ip. However, the 2 that were banned were running on one pc (no vmware or isboxer) and the other 2 untouched were running on another pc. Honestly I'm expecting the ban hammer on my other 2 bots this coming Mon or Tues. I'm gonna bot still till Sunday night then after that I'm gonna transfer all my gear and gold and back off on botting for a little while till things cool down. Blizzard is going crazy with bans right now and they dont seem to be doing ban waves anymore its just flat out Mon-Fri 8am-5pm Ban Hammer Time.

Things are going to be changing pretty drastically when they re-enable the game limits. Once they do people are going to be forced to write longer scripts. Blizzard isn't solely relying on Warden anymore they are using filters to find people botting so it doesnt matter what bot you use. I say this because I hear a lot of people brag about how Demonbuddy is not detected by Warden, this is bullshit sorry to say. The only thing I cant figure out is why Blizzard isn't banning 100%. Maybe its because they simply do not have the man power to thoroughly investigate all the possible botting accounts, its costing them to much man power. I personally do not plan on quitting botting just for being banned. Since I get my D3 keys free but I see no point in trying to lvl up new accounts only to have them banned on or b4 they even hit lvl 60.

I think the truth of the matter is Blizzard knows D3 is failing and a lot of ppl are quitting for various reasons, such as poor economy, poor game play, etc. and they are getting really desperate because they believe that by killing all the botters will save the economy and thus save their game and hope ppl will come back or continue to play. The truth is it wont save their game, Blizzard can try all they want to kill botters but at the end of the day the botters wont stop, its like playing wack a mole, wack one, two more pop up, not to mention all the Chinese botting gold farmers. I mean seriously I can't believe Blizzard thinks they can win this battle.

It is about Sarkoth...I started botting on 1 account and after 4 days I got banned(I did Sarkoth runs only). did lets say 15h/day but got friend who is botting with 5 accounts(noone at Sarkoth)and he didn't get a single ban...He doesn't using demonbuddy actually but from Demonbuddy reports I realized that 99% of people who got banned yesterday(end of 20.7)were on Sarkoth...
I didn't want to come back to bot but now I realized that I just have to bot somewhere else and they wont get me that easy;)
