I play a witch-summoner with good damage and bad health.
Bot comes very close to the monsters and dead.

How to make sure that he would attack only at a big distance?

As a demonbuddy - it was possible to specify the radius.

How to do it here? Thank you.

Hi,

You have in the gui settings for the examplecombat routine a number, 5?, settings, from memory:
singletargetmelee
aoemelee
aingletargetranged
aoeranged
maxrangerange

Set those to what you range you want, and to what skill is to be used. FYI the viewable screen is on average 70 distance.
AND you can place ranged skills into the melee slots..

Make sure you select attack in place, otherwise your character will move towards the fight more agressively.

So.. it now depends on what your witch-summoner uses for skills and when you want them cast. Melee skills take priority (just because of the way the examplecombat routine is written) so if you have a skill that you want used only when things are within melee range, then put the skill in there (aoe or single, examplerouteine tries aoemelee first if there are multiple mobs within a group and within range, then it tries single target melee if meleeaoe is not set and within melee range.. and then just fails back to ranged aoe, ranged single, all the way down to the default attack until something is usable)

I could be wrong.. my memory is fucked and I havent opened exampleroutine in a while.

Yes, I have tried different setting options.

But it does not help - often bot runs very close to the monster and begins to attack. And dead.

Well mate, EB dosen't have a "kiting" system built in. And the reason why you are dying is, probably, because your char isn't tanky enough. So the best advice i can give you is to buy better gear/pots (like granite or jade) or change up your build. Like if your playing a witch, i'm assuming your doing some sort of a spell caster, right? And that you are in the later stages of the game, then you might as well go EB and grab a "Cloak of Defiance". Boosts your survivability quite a lot.
