You should be able to, though priority is typically given to pokemon as there is a chance of rare ones kickin about, so PF wants you to be able to farm them first, and loot secondary. Should you continue to have issues with this please post in the help section with logs for us to review.

I am looking into this, and will let you know if that is presently supported shortly. Update: Presently there is no feature to allow that. I will continue to discuss with the devs the possibility of that in future, but at this time, it is not possible.
