Normally I'd agree with you but when you've gone like 20+ rifts with nothing but crap dropping, I would assume that bliz has now made rifts for the sole purpose of shard farming.

There really is no best profile for farming the IK set. Just make sure you're in T1 or higher. I found almost all of my IK set just doing act4 bounties.
