How long should I lay low?

Hi.
Yesterday there was some dude who whispered me, who knew I was a bot.

First chat:
Him: Duel
Him: Duel now
Him: Naughty
Me: ?
Him: Your using 3rd party software.
Me:?
-no more replys-

I decided not to bot anymore for a week or 2. Later that day I saw him again, but in an instance!
He said to everyone in the group:
"Guys, MYCHARNAME uses 3rd party software=/"

Clearly hes not going to leave me alone....
Plus, hes either a addict or botter himself. Since hes on all day. But all his gear is quest rewards/instances and he has 500+ quests done at level 70.
How long should I stop botting for?

I nearly did open a ticket. But I thought it would bring more unwanted attention to myself

It doesn't sound like he reported you, and I'm sure it just makes him feel really cool to know a 'secret.'

Why don't you take some time from leveling that character and start leveling up another character for a profession mule?

I had the same situation once - except I use wow infinity - got on my Tundra Mammoth - flew a warlock and someother nub to GM Island - Started a raid group - invited 37 random people - summoned them all - lasted 10mins - little dwarf GM came in and slapped us all around - the 40 of us were given 3hour bans to 3days ban see screenshot xD

I wasn't permanately banned - but after coming back from suspension everyone knew - I changed my name but everyone still knew me somehow - So i just xfer'd


The first picture was before the GM - All is happy I'm flying around - 2nd one is after the GM put all 40 of us to sleep.
The account in the picture has now been permantely banned and is in no way linked to any of my current accounts =]

In conclusion - Just ignore him - I have had several of these 'annoyances' and they're mostly all 'bluffs' tell him to smoke a pole or get ZNFK - the replys are so human-like.

U know, if you were on their friend lists, they would get an update when they logged in telling them that "Youoldname is now INSERTNEWNAMEHERE" ^^

Report him and have people you knwo report him, put ina ticket and photoshop a screenshot of him saying something.

Then find his email, his IP address, his physical address and get a g........ah nvm bad idea.........

Would I be safe to level up a new character? Or if he reported me would I be watched?

Personally i'd just say keep it too a few battlegrounds over the weekend, If you are gonna bot then keep it to background botting, Ie, browsing the web/watching a film or what ever while your at it, other than that, If he does bother you then, Reply to him yourself, that way he can't say fuck all.

there is nothing special about gm island its easy to go there i do it many times with model editing

Can you still get there in Cata? I was able to do it in Vanilla and BC by modifying where the zepplins went. Had it so the GG zep flew me to GM island = P

I decided to carry on botting for a bit. But atm like 2 hours a day. Then the next day it will be 3, then 4 ect untill i get to my normal botting times
