Does anyone have experience with or know of bans relating to manipulating commodities?

e.g. Write a quick mouse coord clicker for 2 windows to list 10 commodities 50% below market price, buy them on 2nd quickly, drive down the last 10 trades price, and try to buy up a lot of product when the price is lower.

How bannable is it?

you will only pay less for commodities if someone actually post at the lower price that last 10 trades show. Lots of stupid D3 players out there.

excellent facepalm btw ! :D

Well considering 99% of the people listing items just goes off the guide price, I would assume normal items to sell would get posted at the new prices.

I have done it before but nothing automated. AH botting is a good way to get banned. It is very easy to manipulate for AH market, Especially Brimstones. When you click a commodity in your stash and it gives you a default price. That price is the average of the last 10 trades. So you sell 5 brimstones in a row at 100 gold it will lower the market. Most of the time you can buy back your own brimstones at 100 gold.

Wouldn't try the AH, I don't leave in a safe country, not Mr. President son so .. Don't wanna end up in jail or have to pay a bill no1 can handle.

But when I open a harem in russia I will.

lol

pretty sure people are already doing this to flawless square emeralds.

I've regularly been given a suggested price of 4-5k, when actual value is around 9k+ (EU)

Gems number constantly increase + Player number decrease = dead market.

Pretty much botters paying stuff farmed by other botters atm

I don't necessarily mean long-term but then again, I see how doing it in short periods of time is barely time efficient for the gold you make.

I also would use SIMBA, a color scraper to run it. Could add in breaks, and a lot of different things too.

Do you have any idea about maniuplation by buyout? If the guide price for an item is say 100 for 10, then 150 for 100. You could buyout say 100 and then the lowest selling item is at the 150 price or more.

Depends on how many you purchase at the lower prices, how long the higher price can stay put, etc though.
