Multiple questions for experienced botters

I am currently doing some research into the bot scene for WoW at the moment as Diablo becomes more and more unprofitable and there are several questions I would like answered that I am struggling to find any good resources for. I will post the questions below and if you can answer any of them, please do, if you would find it easier and have the time to chat, send me and PM and we can sort that out. Whilst writing this thread I become increasingly more aware that this might be a post that quite a few people would be interested in reading through when starting up, so if you would like me to turn the thread into a more user friendly way e.g. answers under questions, just let me know.

Gold Related
1. What are the best servers to bot on? I did a small shuffle test on Auchindoun A over 10 hours and only managed to get a maximum rate of 380g/h - I am quite sure that this can be improved, but not by much.
2. What are the best ways to make gold? As mentioned above, I have already tested the shuffle and will definitely be using the herb/inscription method, but are there any other/better ways?
3. Is it safe/profitable to sell raw herb/ore on the AH/through COD?
4. What sort of figures am I aiming for? Is 1k/h per bot a good/achievable amount?

Technical
1. Is it worth setting up VM's for each instance? Does Blizzard do IP checks and will this lead to actual bans? Is it safe to just have X instances running on the same machine?
2. Are the generic profiles safe to use or would I benefit from using bespoke or self produced profiles?
3. Are there any clear flags that lead to bans? e.g. does Blizzard scan your system for keywords? (Even if they are not supposed too)
4. What are the minimum specs for an 8 bot rig?

Selling
1. You get less from selling to popular websites, so where is the best place to meet private buyers and how many do you want to have?
2. What is the best/safest way to transfer gold? Is there a known amount traded flag?
3. Is there anything you need to watch out for? Apart from the hoards of scammers on OC

Safety
1. What is the best way to store gold? All on one character? In a Guild bank? Split across multiple characters?
2. What is the best way to sell gold? Have a separate account? Use a level 1 alt?
3. What is the suggested length of each session and best time run? 8 hours through the day?

dont think any1 can anwer this quest really. the ammount of gold you can get per day or per hour varies alot depending on ammount of people on realm, prices, the time you put into it ect ect.

again this really depends on prices and on the realm you are on. if herb/ore prices are high the shuffle might not be the most profitable as anything about 30g/stack of herbs would be a waste to do shuffle it turns out. unless you are just looking for easy gold with no trouble of finding buyers for your stuff.

in CoD there should be no problem really. just watch out for AH.

again realm dependent. depending on your NPH(Nodes per hour) i atm am doing a NPH of 300 on a herber only and 600 on a herber/miner. putting crap into bank and deleteing the life spirits.

I personally dont use any sort of VM *** or whatever all those short terms are. i got 3-5 running on my 1 machine with just 1 IP and i had for years no trouble, had 1 ban because of stupidity from my side, so see no need to.

i would suggest a self made profile if you can do this as it lowers risk of getting caught from other botters spotting you doing same thing and same route as them (yes people do report each other even as bots).

3. Are there any clear flags that lead to bans? e.g. does Blizzard scan your system for keywords? (Even if they are not supposed too)

no clue to this. people say they do a scan on your cpu usage or ram to check for illigal programs, but guess no1 can prove or disprove this. nor can any 100% confirm it yet.

cant really say the minimum specs my self. im running on an i5 2500I OC to 4.2ghz. 16gig 2000mhz ram, and 2 SSD in Raid1(i think its called raid1, 2 HDD acting as one upping the speed). and had about 10 running on mine

I personally store gold in 2 different guild banks, split into sort of even ammounts just in case the hammer falls. yet not had any trouble with gold removed or anything of that sort.

i use a new 5$ acc each time, never buys from blizz store, again in case they start to use their brains and link Credit cards or paypals together.

3. What is the suggested length of each session and best time run? 8 hours through the day?

i normaly go around 12hours/day, some say they go upto 18 some 24/7. cant say wich is safest, but can almost guarantee you the hammer falls if you do 24/7 for a long time.

4. Is it risky to use RaF to level up new characters?

never tried, never will. they tend to remove the raftime you buy so i wont take risk of them checking into my accounts just because of this.

5. Is it risky to bot level new characters?

i just bought a new account to expand my gold farming and been botting from day 1 have done on all my characters/accounts without trouble. (appart from the useual stucks on some quests/ or by mesh problems, normaly easily fixxed)

6. Is there anything that you need to avoid doing? e.g. trading 10000000 gold or posting 30000 stacks of Ghost Iron Ore on the AH

what you just said would proberly be the best things yes dont trade too much gold unless you use a 5$ mule acc. and never post too many stacks on AH at any time. the system will catch you if you do.

1) depends on the prices on the servers, i ussualy play on high pop. servers, still got a few on medium tho.
2) depends on the prices on the server you're playing on, therefor none can answer that.
3) no problem with posting stuff COD, i do that all the time in the beginning of an expansion.
4) depends on what you're farming, and you're N/PH

4. Is it risky to use RaF to level up new characters? (i use SoR accounts, never had a single one of them banned untill i botted them 24/7 for weeks)
5. Is it risky to bot level new characters? (depends on how you do it, its a risk.. don't bot if you can't take the fact that you can actually lose it)

Is there anything that you need to avoid doing? e.g. trading 10000000 gold or posting 30000 stacks of Ghost Iron Ore on the AH (ofc, don't post lots and lots of ores, i post about 2-300 a day on each acc - got 2 accs where i can sell the mats on, after i've done my shuffle) - (i use a vanilla acc to do the trading, havn't had anyone that wants to buy gold-cap yet, but ive sold 250-500k quite a few times.. )

I'm also wondering if it's worth at all buying v p n like hidemyass or any other if you plan on doing chainbotting? Like 3 pcs -15 accounts? Should each PC have its own IP from *** or it wouldn't really matter in the end? a.k.a. if chainban would happen would they only ban 1 PC or all 3 together with or without v p n?

I bought astrill to keep my farm accounts seperate from my main. Its worked so far but probably won't make a difference if Blizzard investigates.

i use proxifier and log in my farming account from different country IP i dunno if that could help in the end of the day..but it might confuse them a bit so i can claim a compromise account if they decide to ban me... i hope it helps
